Based on Jojo Moyes' novel "I Want You to Be Well", it tells the love story between a small town girl Louisa and a paralyzed boss Will.

The heroine, Louisa, is a happy and innocent town girl who has been living a comfortable and ordinary life with a unique taste. Because the coffee shop where she used to work closed down, in order to make a living and share her family's worries, she found a new job as a nurse.

The male protagonist, Will, suffered a spinal cord injury due to an unfortunate car accident. He was paralyzed from the neck down, and only a few fingers could move. After struggling with the disease for two years, he still decided to leave. He promised his parents that he would go to Sweden for euthanasia after living another six months.

Although Will already has a male nurse Nansen who has cared for him for two years, his parents and Nansen can't do anything about his potential outbursts at any time. So Will's parents found him a nanny, Louisa, who had just been fired from her six-year bakery job. Will is not friendly, and the next time the two get along is also difficult.

Louisa is mainly responsible for reminding Will to take his medicine, making sure that there is no one around him for 15 minutes. Will faced the window every day and did nothing. Louisa suggested that he go out to get some air, check the computer, or chat with each other, but he was rejected. She changed into all kinds of clothes every day hoping to make Will feel a little better, but this little girl was like a joke in front of him.

The turning point comes when Will's ex-girlfriend brings her boyfriend to see him. He is so angry that he smashes the photo of his ex-girlfriend and himself with her. Louisa tries to help him put the frames back together. There is an argument between them. . Louisa admits that she doesn't like the job or Will herself, just because she needs work too much, too much money.

Will found that he was at least worth being needed, and was also moved by Louisa's innocence, so he began to cooperate with Louisa to enter a normal working state. Let her watch CDs with him on rainy days, and accompany him out to breathe on sunny days. The conversation between them also has content, and a smile begins to appear on Will's face.

Will became more obedient because Nansen hadn't come over after a cold. He needed Louisa to help him adjust the pillow. They had physical contact for the first time. It's quiet, quiet, and peaceful, but you can feel a kind of warmth flowing slowly between them, permeating each other's bodies and hearts.

They got to know each other. Will was a person who loved life very much before the car accident. He participated in various extreme sports and had a very cheerful personality. He encourages Louisa to get out of town and open her eyes, "You only live once, you should make it as colorful as possible." Louisa suggests Will shave off his face.

Knowing that Will will go to Switzerland for euthanasia in 6 months, Louisa is no longer worried about losing her job in 6 months, but trying to wake Will to change her mind. She made an activity plan for Will, and they Watch horse races together, listen to concerts together, and travel together. She was more than happy to be childish in front of him to show his talent, and she became more confident and beautiful in the process.

The most heart-wrenching scene is when they come back from the concert and Will asks to stay in the car for a few more minutes: "I don't want to go in yet, I want to be the man who just finished the concert with the girl in the red dress for a while."

Louisa invites Will to his home for his birthday party. At the birthday dinner, Louisa wipes Will's mouth in front of her boyfriend Patrick. What makes Patrick uncomfortable is that Louisa's action is too natural.

Will took Louisa to the castle where he used to play when he was a child. He recalled the scene of drinking coffee in the Place de la Prince in Paris when he was healthy, which made people feel very sad. He said that he closed his eyes and remembered every feeling. But these are the lives that he can no longer enjoy himself, but wants Louisa to have. He even relieved her of her worries about her leaving - getting her dad a job as castle maintenance supervisor.

Take her to the wedding of his ex-girlfriend Alicia. At Alicia's wedding, Will showed up generously under the eyes of many regrets. The one who knows his inner pain the most is Louisa, and she simply jumps on it. Will's wheelchair. Will tells Louisa: "You're probably the only thing that keeps me awake in the morning."

Then she arranged another trip to the sea for him. While traveling, the night was stormy, but Will let Louisa open the window and wanted her to stay in his room, and they huddled together in the thunder and lightning. His answer to her invitations and suggestions was: if you want; and her invitation to him was: if you wanted.

There would have been a little sadness and loneliness, because having Louisa is all good and lucky. Will brings Louisa a new life and encourages her to do many things she would never dare to try again. Louisa is happy that she can change Will's decision, but Will tells him that he still has to stick to his decision to go to Sweden for euthanasia, because sitting in a wheelchair is not his life.

In 6 months, Will almost turned Louisa into another person, but he didn't want to tie Louisa to his side because of this, and he didn't want her to miss everything that others could give her, he couldn't stand her Possibly pity, let alone seeing her, feeling her, but not being able to have physical intimacy with her.

Louisa turned down Will's invitation to accompany her to Switzerland, which was almost her first rejection of him, and she couldn't accept such a cruel goodbye. The Will family has left. With the encouragement of her father and sister, Louisa regained her courage and rushed to Switzerland

Will's life is over, Louisa's life continues, but she becomes braver and more confident, and truly finds herself.

Will felt the most sincere feelings in the last period of his life, and he was able to be whole. The best encounter for him and her.
