Watched the right movie at the right time. "The American" (The American) is adapted from the novel "A Very Private Gentleman" (A Very Private Gentleman), about the salvation journey of a lonely and low-key killer. When he met the woman he loved in a foreign land, when he was about to change his life trajectory, "the prodigal son turned back", he found that fate made a big joke with him. Perhaps his life trajectory should be like this.
"The American" is actually in the same line as George Clooney's predecessor, "Up in the Air". I personally like the tone and story of the film very much. This is a story about self-salvation in the cloak of "killer film". The film should have a place in this year's Oscars. In addition, George Clooney is really getting more handsome
