Watched the right movie at the right time. "The American" (The American) is adapted from the novel "A Very Private Gentleman" (A Very Private Gentleman), about the salvation journey of a lonely and low-key killer. "The American" is actually in the same line as George Clooney's predecessor, "Up in the Air". I personally like the tone and story of the film very much.
