I watched the PA and it was almost 2 o'clock. I couldn't calm down, I couldn't sleep. I really like this kind of shooting. I want to say what the director said, it does give people a very real feeling. It's easy for me to get into the play, so after watching it, my mind kept reminiscing about the last scene (of course, I saw the ending one, not the second)--the hero was thrown at the camera by the heroine, and then he smiled grimly at the camera write. I was lying on the bed, afraid to let out the air, afraid that I would hear something I shouldn't have heard. I replayed the movie scene by scene in my mind. The heroine is dragged out of bed, from the bedroom to the other room, shouting 'Micah', that kind of heart-wrenching, fearful and helpless cry is really unforgettable. The heroine gets up and sleepwalks inexplicably. . .
There's only one feeling 'really real' after watching the full movie, it feels like something that could be happening around. I searched for this film on Wiki. It turns out that the director was very timid. The film showed what he said was afraid, and he used his own house to shoot. Haha, if I were him, I wouldn't go back to that house! I admire the director and dare to challenge myself. In fact, human beings are afraid of the unknown world. As the saying goes 'people scare people to death', and it's true.
Let's see what kind of movie you go with. I used to know a person who would laugh while watching horror movies. She just didn't believe in ghosts. She saw other people being frightened but laughed there, thinking they were stupid and frightened by things that didn't exist. I admire her very much, but unfortunately, I can't do it. Because, I still believe in these things, as the saying goes, it is better to believe that there is something or not. So, be prepared to be frightened when you watch it. (However, I have always liked horror films!)
In short, as the director's debut, this is a good horror film, challenge your own psychology, it is worth recommending! (Also, Spielberg modified the film's ending to show appreciation for Oren Peli.)
(I heard there was going to be a sequel, and I wasn't looking forward to it at all, because I didn't want to see it screwed up. Like The Blair Witch Project was a huge success back then, but the second one was terrible.)
