Just after watching "The Amityville Horror", it feels like a very simple horror movie. But the plot is very compact and very attractive. Let's not discuss which movies the horror elements in this movie imitate. . .
The bottom of the house was originally a Sanctuary (church). In 1691, priest Jeremiah Ketcham performed a mission to the Indians. He tortured and slaughtered everyone in the church. Then he cut his throat. In this way, his ghost flows in the world, like a witchcraft. In the film, the hero George walked into the basement in a dream and was sprayed with blood from the dead priest, indicating that he had been possessed by a demon. When he woke up from the dream, his blood-red eyes were full of violent violence. But the devil is not an entity. It cannot harm people. Just as George said when he first entered the house: "houses don't kill people, people kill people". In the end, the devil is planning to use George's hand to kill people.
There are many places in the movie that I really don’t understand!
1. The movie began to appear on the listing "high hopes" next to the haunted house, and then repeatedly appeared several times! unclear meaning. But I definitely want to express something!
2. Radio! If there is no power supply, you will receive strange and inexplicable signals. Can it receive the radio waves emitted by the ghost of a dead priest?
3. The compass with the head of an Indian in the middle seems to be a direct source of stimulus for the male protagonist to run away.
4. In addition to the priest's ghost, there is also the ghost of the Indian who was tortured and killed by the priest in the room. In addition, the ghost of the little girl Jodie I suspect that the priest forced her to stay. The little girl herself longed for freedom very much. After the George family left, the little girl was very disappointed and left tears of sorrow. She wanted to induce George's daughter Chelsea to commit suicide many times, but simply wanted to find someone to accompany her. In the end, Jodie was dragged into the ground by the priest's big hands, leaving behind the lonely one-eyed hair doll. Jodie was unfortunate. But why did the priest leave Jodie's ghost? unknown!
