I think the thing about who's smarter is actually overstated. It is easy for wise people to use intelligence as an excuse for lack of some important character, and to rely on superficial behavior in lieu of a diligent and prudent attitude to life. All my life I've been like a rocket, sputtering sparks, making noises, and falling silently. But Sidney has always been the backbone of the family, and whenever I've had a rough time, he'll always pull me up and keep me going. Of the two of us, he was the better one.
