Chaplin turned performing into an art that everyone can understand. The content is simple and funny (even without extra language) and contains deep meaning. Chaplin's performance is really hard, simply, skating, dancing, singing, everything. His every move is performed, duck-pacing but occasionally kicking "on the side", helping to create a character that is clumsy, witty, and candid. The other supporting characters are also great. Chaplin is also a screenwriter and director, and some of the concepts in it are very good, such as being involved in the big gears inside the factory assembly line. Although the protagonist is passively unemployed, imagine how many misplaced screws life has. Is it a step backward for human beings to struggle in a ruthless industrial society because of food and clothing? Observing that many factory jobs around me are anti-intellectual, so I think it is right for the country to develop robots to replace workers. But what if you lose your job? Not everyone is so lucky to wake up in a whirlpool of disappointment, discover and start over. In the last shot, the protagonist and the stray girl broke through the shackles and walked on the avenue of dawn.
