look painful

I have never been able to agree with why the protagonist did that, looking for a terrifying "paradise" that, in my opinion, is extremely deficient in
material
. The expression seems to be very enjoyable, right?

The whole seems to be in the primitive clan era, everything listens to the matriarch, and then the people inside can't understand... so so... obedient... enjoying this perverted life in a bubble of falsehood

If I go there, I'm going to go crazy for a day...

are they really trying to get away from the fast pace of the city? At first I thought it was, I defined this as a strange movie exploring the psychology and utopia of urbanites...
But God knows, are those young people just for fun because of their curiosity?

Ah, I forgot it was a movie, eh? Right, since the director threw out the concept of utopia, and finally refuted the criticism mercilessly, even tearing off the mask and describing the beautiful paradise as more ugly and terrible than reality, is he trying to say that people's hearts are sinister? A group of people sitting in front of the screen who are uneasy about the status quo said, don't imagine, where there is sunshine and sandy beaches, there are shadows cast by palm trees?

All in all, the above may be a little bit right. I always watch the pain and want to smash the screen.
I am not a curious child who pursues excitement, and I don’t want to live on a desolate and desolate island, so I really can’t. Understand what the director and the screenwriter are doing to make such a profoundly thoughtful movie...

The Beach quotes

  • Richard: I told myself spreading news was part of a traveller's nature, but if I was being completely honest, I was just like everybody else: shit-scared of the great unknown. Desperate to take a little piece of home with me.

  • Richard: When you develop an infatuation for someone you always find a reason to believe that this is exactly the person for you. It doesn't need to be a good reason. Taking photographs of the night sky, for example. Now, in the long run, that's just the kind of dumb, irritating habit that would cause you to split up. But in the haze of infatuation, it's just what you've been searching for all these years.
