Late to watch the movie.

I knew about the existence of this movie almost half a year ago, but I never planned to watch it. In other words, simply forgot. Today, I gave up preparing for the exam, because it happened to be on TV, so I just watched it. Right to relax.

The title ever after tells people that this is a fairy tale, a copy of Cinderella. Of course, it is more authentic and credible than the original version, and more capable than the original version of Cinderella.

The lineup of the film is good. Although I don't want to comment on the two main protagonists, at least the supporting roles don't have the feeling that they are bad guys at first glance. The stepmother's two daughters are pretty good-looking. (This makes people have to blame the Bentleys in 95p&p) Moreover, the youngest daughter is the protagonist.

The heroine Danielle has never seen her mother. One day, her father married a stepmother, and he was going out again. It was originally only a week, but because of an accident (I don’t understand what the accident is, a heart attack?) became Yong Jue. . And Danielle also started her Cinderella journey.

At the same time, her other half, the French prince Henry, is a person who longs for freedom. (Are you a Frenchman? It looks like he often walks home.) The prince stole Cinderella’s horse and was stoned by Danielle. This was the first time the two met. Of course, when they met for the second time, The prince did not recognize Danielle, but treated her in formal attire as an aristocratic lady.

Obviously, this learned lady who can quote Thomas More's Utopia aroused Henry's interest. He wanted to know the name of our Cinderella, but Cinderella didn't really want to tell him. So, two Personally, Cinderella couldn't help but said her mother's name. Fortunately, the queen appeared, and Cinderella temporarily escaped from the "nightmare".

The reason why Cinderella became Cinderella was that she was destined to be a match with the prince. Although she did not want to, she often saw the prince in various situations.

In various coincidences, she even saved the prince's life.

However, the stepmother learned of her encounter with the prince. The stepmother wanted her daughter Margaret to be the queen, and the stepmother lied to the queen that Cinderella was engaged.

At the same time, the stepmother locked Cinderella at home. However, it was not a fairy godmother who came to save her, but our magic genius, Leonardo da Vinci.

Cinderella returned to the ball, and the stepmother failed to do anything, took off one of Danielle's wings and told the prince that Cinderella was their servant.

The prince was angry. He didn't want to listen to the explanation, Cinderella went home crying. At this time, Da Vinci, one of the three great masters of the Renaissance, came out to make a rescue, but the prince still couldn't accept it.

Da Vinci left the crystal shoes and said: "Then, you are not good enough for her." He left.

The prince, according to the plan, is going to marry a Spanish princess, but that Spanish princess obviously has other lovers. The prince was a good man, made the couple, and then went to Cinderella, but knew that his favorite Cinderella had been sold.

After that, there are marriage proposals, but there is no hero saving the beauty. The spoiler is over.

In fact, what I found interesting when I watched it was not entirely because of the cliché but still touching plot, but because of the subtle details. (Although if you think about it, it is a bit confused.)

"Utopia" was written about 1515, which is the time when Leonardo arrived in France to settle. Little Danielle started reading this book until they met Leonardo for at least ten years, and Leonardo seemed to have lived in France for 4 years before he died.

And "Utopia" is written in Latin. I can't imagine that Danielle, who lives in France, can understand Latin at such a young age (the translation should not be so fast). Anyway, this is a bug.

There is another interesting place. I remember that when henry chooses a suitable marriage partner, the queen said: "Divorce is something that only Englishmen do."

Here, it is probably Henry who has six wives. An old story about the VIII and Anne Boleyn.

Henry VIII fell in love with Annie, who was desperate and wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon, whom he had been with for more than 20 years. This indirectly led to Mary Tudor being called an illegitimate daughter, and of course the Virgin Queen and the birth of British Protestantism.

But this sentence is still very "irony" ~ (I like this kind of history-related details, although finding bugs is not a very pleasant thing.)

In short, this movie is still worth watching. When you want to release the girl's feelings.

Ever After: A Cinderella Story quotes

  • Leonardo da Vinci: Come, let's see these paintings of yours.

    Gustav: Now?

Leonardo da Vinci: When you're as old as I am, son, now is all you've got.

  • Henry: [as Danielle hurries away] Have we met?

Danielle: I-I do not believe so, Your Highness.

Henry: I could have sworn I knew every courtier in the provience.

Danielle: Well... I am visiting a cousin.

    Henry: Who?

    Danielle: My cousin.

Henry: Yes, you said that. Which one?

Danielle: Th-the only one I have, sire.

Henry: Are you coy on purpose or do you honestly refuse to tell me your name?

    Danielle: [stops quickly] No.

    [quickly heads towards the gate]

    Danielle: And yes.

Henry: Well, then, pray tell me your cousin's name so that I might call upon her to learn who you are. For anyone who can quote Thomas More is well worth the effort.

Danielle: [stops] The Prince has read "Utopia"?

Henry: I found it sentimental and dull. Honestly, the plight of the everyday rustic bores me.

Danielle: I... take it you do not converse with many peasants.

Henry: Ha, certainly not, no. Naturally.

Danielle: [starts walking again] Excuse me, sire, but there is nothing "natural" about it. A country's character is defined by its "everyday rustics," as you call them. They are the legs you stand on and that position demands *respect,* not...

Henry: Am I to understand that you find me... arrogant?

Danielle: Well, you gave one man back his life, but did you even glance at the others?

Henry: Please, I beg of you, a name. Any name.

Danielle: I... I fear the only name to leave you with... is Comtesse Nicole de Lancret.
