I think history will one day prove that this is an overlooked movie, and viggo is a neglected actor.
Entering the topic, the film does not stop the depressing atmosphere from the beginning to the end. The tone of the film is extremely dim from the beginning to the end, but in this dim film, the director can always insert some brightly colored memories at the most suitable time. Perhaps I also want to further show that dreamy things are always gorgeous.
The movie never explains why the world is the way it is, because it doesn't matter to the rest of the world. Maybe we will step into that world after all, endure the cold, feel lonely, and wander aimlessly in a certain corner of the world. All I want is warmth, food. And the standard by which the whole world judges good people and bad people has become whether you can eat people or not. Either eat people or live to survive. Either don't eat people and die for the faith.
