The island I'm going to is the island of "Summer Meme Tea". This island is not far away, and the scenery is similar. However, the plot is far less easy than "Summer". I heard that it was a story of handsome guys, beaches, beautiful women, and marijuana. It was quite disturbing how they were combined.
While many people don't like this movie, I think it's good. There are too many people who have lost themselves, lost their way, and lost their goals in this society, just like the young people in the movie who only want to binge and marijuana. They don't care what the future holds, they really enjoy every minute, at least on the surface. It may seem like an old story, but it's really nice to mirror our society through a virtual paradise.
I think the question of the protagonist Richard should happen to everyone on the island, how did he come, how did he run past the peasants with guns after he came, and if he allowed himself to face life and death, he could tolerate it (on the island for 6 years) Well, it's impossible to die for the first time). At first, Richard saw his friend had a toothache and was not allowed to see a doctor. He still laughed and found it funny. It was not until the toothache escalated to death that he realized the price of chasing heaven.
As in our lives, heaven is just a simple metaphor, just as the wealth, fame, love, and even sex we pursue are the source of our pleasure. However, in order to get something, you must pay, and the beginning of paying may be a long journey, crossing mountains and seas, and paying sweat. But any more advanced pursuit will require more advanced effort. If it's the devil, it's going to want your soul, on the island, it's your insensitivity, in life, it's probably your conscience...
I watch this movie from the point of view of finding merit. The scenery is interspersed with beautiful beaches and chaotic cities. The protagonist experiences cruel and beautiful things... I think everything is good! What else do you want?
