Kindness is right, I also understand the truth, kindness and beauty that the director wants to express. But the boy who has lived for more than ten years in the last days does not even have the ability to take care of himself and survival skills. He weeps all day long and drags his father back from beginning to end. This setting is too brainless.
In the whole film, the little boy did not touch me, and the man's doting on this child is incomprehensible. It's so apocalyptic, isn't spoiling indirectly hurting people?
There is no problem with the actors themselves, and the story is alright. Maybe the director's enthusiasm is not enough. There is a reason for not being favored by the Oscars, and a score of 7.6 is really high.
