Famous companies violent layoffs, what should we do?

Watching this story in 2019 is a different story.

Although the same-sex problem is still not a fact recognized by most Chinese people, it seems today that the problem is at least not as serious as it used to be, especially in big cities. Of course this is only relative, relative.

The bigger problem appears to be one of violent layoffs.

You work in a large company, you are conscientious, you have extraordinary achievements, and the end is very tragic.

This may be a more serious problem that we are facing today or this time.

AIDS is just an excuse. When this excuse is no longer valid, those bad businesses will still actively find other excuses to do what they want to do. In different times, there are different excuses.

Of course, we can also see that in different times and different countries, we also seem to have different ways of dealing with it.

The Philadelphia story is ideal and beautiful, where America was born, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and a dying AIDS patient passed the law to earn dignity, respect, and financial compensation.

But in our reality, what we need is personal power, new technology and social media.

Of course, even in America, as in the movie, this justice is not too early. Andy searched so hard that he couldn't even find a lawyer willing to represent him. By the time the verdict came out, he was already dead.

There is no joy in being late for justice.

But in any case, the legal justice shown in this movie is indeed what we lack now.

On the one hand, of course, our country's legislation and enforcement need to be further deepened. On the other hand, perhaps the whole society has not yet created an environment for legalizing employees' rights.

When 996 is a blessing, and the wolf culture is praised or at least not attacked by the mainstream, it may be difficult for us to protect our labor rights through an effective legal means.

That's what I want to say today. It will not expand further, after all, most people still think that this is a gay movie.

ps love that song by Springsteen at the beginning.

Create a new tab for all the videos that college English teachers have given us. Miguel's actor Antonio Banderas was Almodóvar's longtime collaborator. The music and the street scene at the beginning are in harmony. Although the film does not focus on the litigation process, the portrayal of the American legal system is still quite vivid; on the topic of AIDS, attitude should be more important than content.

As a movie, I really don't see it as good. As an affirmative film, the intensity is so-so, maybe it will be different in that era? But there is one thing that the United States could discuss at that time in this way, and we can't even avoid it now. Another: The photographer of this film especially likes headshots?

Philadelphia quotes

  • Judge Garrett: In this courtroom, Mr.Miller, justice is blind to matters of race, creed, color, religion, and sexual orientation.

Joe Miller: With all due respect, your honor, we don't live in this courtroom, do we?

  • Joe Miller: What do you love about the law, Andrew?

Andrew Beckett: [from the witness stand] I... many things... uh... uh... What I love the most about the law?

    Joe Miller: Yeah.

Andrew Beckett: It's that every now and again - not often, but occasionally - you get to be a part of justice being done. That really is quite a thrill when that happens.
