I thought that the second part would explain the puzzles left at the end of the first movie, but the whole movie is running and running, completely relying on action scenes to prolong the time.
Although the process is still thrilling, the storyline itself does not expand much, and the characters just run from one place to another without any growth. The only growth may be the final awakening of the male protagonist - to resist.
The first film actually had this problem, but Sheng was the first film at the time. The audience didn't know what the film was going to tell. It was interesting and suspenseful, and with a little special effects and a doomsday plot, it could cover up some shortcomings.
But the second one can't play like that! Since the first part knows that wicked is behind the scenes, the second part should dig deeper into the inside story of this organization and the secrets of the actor's life experience.
Why did you deceive the protagonist's team at the end of the first part to be destroyed? Why switch them to another base? The second part says nothing and gives no explanation at all.
The whole movie is just a running account for the third part.
