The male protagonist is the one in the history of violence, and the woman is the one from 21 grams and Mulholland Avenue. The two do not have too many emotional scenes, but their fates are inadvertently linked together.

The whole film is filled with this uncomfortable feeling. The atmosphere is a bit frustrating, I don't like this movie very much, in general.
