Mirror of Humanity

First of all, I have to like the title of the film, and the plot without any excess goes directly into the theme. It's a bit similar to Hotel Pinhole. I like

this kind of film the most, no nonsense, even if it is only 1 hour. It's a pity that there are so few such films now, and most of them are

trying to make time for impatient people like me to change films frequently, unless they spend money to sit in a movie theater.

At first I thought it was a suspense film, but at the end it was slowly revealed that it was a wonderful psychological film. This kind of film is not only

to watch, but also to think about, because not all films can be spoiled to such an extent. It is the saddest thing to have a wrong understanding

.

The film has a potential protagonist is the murderer MacEnreeve. The only time he is himself is when he recounts his

childhood experiences on the tape recorder in the title sequence, being abused by his mother who was a prostitute. This is what caused his mental illness.
Then after the plot unfolded, MacEnreeve split into 11 characters: The following are in the order of death

1. Caroline, an outdated female star. Personality: Proud, arrogant, show off wealth. The first to die. With the confusion of room numbers, big people become little people. It can be seen that McEnreeve also longed for the life of a famous and rich man, but he could not have it and was discriminated against. How could the evil aroused in his heart tolerate such a person pointing his finger at him?

2. Louis, little husband. Personality: horny. Since Louis met Paris, he hadn't taken his eyes off the family

, completely ignoring that his wife was by his side. Needless to say, such a person should be damned.

3. Robert, a fugitive. Personality: Cowardly and evil. Robert is a hapless wretch who is resigned to his fate. In everyone's eyes, he was a fugitive, and he was mistaken for a murderer in the end. As the saying goes, a dog jumps over the wall in a hurry. There is no way to escape from him. In the end, he escaped for a long time and still did not escape from the hotel. The death method was terrible. This suggests that the battered McEnreeve must have thought about running away but could do nothing to escape his doom.

4. George, stepfather. Personality: Honest and honest. York is very caring and caring for his wife and children. But in the end it was given by **

killed indirectly. Sorry, no spoilers here.

5. Alice, George's wife. Personality: A good wife and a good mother. It can be seen from the details that she is very loving towards her husband and children. Unfortunately

she was hit by a car in the beginning and couldn't move. Finally died in the hands of **. It was clear that the poor mother had

been plotted from the start.

6. Keaney, Lewis' wife. Personality: Timid and kind. Gini was never happy from start to finish. At first, I was immersed in the guilt of lying to my

husband , and after the massacre began, I was very afraid and timid. Her husband Louis also died because of her. Although she escaped at the time, she

died in the fire in the end. Implying remorse for every massacre, but can't stop it.

7. Larry, the fake motel manager. Personality: cunning, greedy. A mysterious down-and-out gambler meets a deceased

innkeeper and decides to continue his business by pretending to be him. No one can prove whether he is telling the truth or a lie,

anyway in the end he still becomes an undead. Another characteristic of Larry is his hatred of prostitutes, which happens to be a reflection of McEnreeve's heart

.

8. Rhodes, fugitive, fake cop. Personality: mean, cruel. This man must be a ruthless horn, otherwise his accomplice Robert

would not have escaped. After Paris revealed his identity again, he revealed his true identity and killed him.

9. Ed, the driver, used to be a police officer. Personality: Brave, righteous and kind. Ed is the hero and I think he

is the prototype of McEnreeve, the character that McEnreeve desperately desires. Unfortunately, he finally despised the enemy. He thought that he and the enemy would

perish together to defeat the evil, but he did not expect that the real evil had not yet been discovered. It's also worth noting that the protagonist didn't die in the end.

10, Paris, prostitute. Personality: Brave and friendly. Paris is the heroine and the last to die.

She was friendly with anyone in the hotel, even Larry, who was discriminating against her. She plans to get rid of her prostitute status and return to her hometown to plant orchards.

Easy life. Although she was a survivor, McEnreeve didn't let her live comfortably, and the last sentence "whores

don't get a second chance" reveals that McEnreeve could never forgive his mother who was a prostitute for hurting him.

11. Timmy, son of George and Alice. Personality: withdrawn, autistic. MacEnreeve Childhood Projections.

Identity quotes

  • George York: [to stepson/Timmy] I'll be right back.

[to Ed, who is sewing up Alice's neck]

George York: Where did you learn to do that?

Ed: Pretty much where you're standing. Hey, is the, uh, little boy. Is he all right? He hasn't said a word since the accident. I don't know if he's...

George York: [Cutting Ed off] No no no. He doesn't talk much. Ever since the, uh... I'm his stepfather. His father... Two years ago he left. A little temper problem.

  • Caroline Suzanne: I am not staying here. Are you out of your mind?
