Warm healing

After a few days of emotional ups and downs, I finally found my peace in the movie. "Descendants", a healing film, has no major ups and downs. The music in the whole piece is soothing and moving, arousing a rare peace in my heart.
The words at the beginning of the film reverberated in my heart during the entire film, "My friends from the mainland feel that living in Hawaii is a paradise of life, like a long vacation, drinking cocktails, swinging freely, and chasing romance. Tip. They thought we wouldn't be bothered by the trivialities of life, but they thought we rarely had family problems, that cancer wouldn't be fatal, and sadness wouldn't hurt."
The main tone of the whole film is Hawaii . , traditional music, but unlike the cheerful rhythm I heard before, with a touch of sadness.
What is the best genre to define this film? emotion? I guess it's still a feature film. There is no heart-warming plot, no bridges of great joy and great sorrow, but after watching it, I will be slightly moved in my heart, and there will be a warm air echoing in my heart.
Throughout the movie, I was expecting a miracle to happen, that the mother who was in a vegetative state would suddenly open her eyes. But the reality is that miracles don't happen easily. Even so, when everything is forgiven, what's the sadness of leaving?

The Descendants quotes

  • Alexandra King: Hey, Scottie! Raina's a fucked-up hoe-bag and you need to stay away from her! And she's going to be a meth-head and she's gonna get used by stupid guys! She's a twat! Say it!

  • Matt King: [voice-over] Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
