Most of what Chinese films lack can be found in Korean films. In the same filthy darkness, they are struggling to find the light, and we are blind, or pretend not to. It is still a real world where politics and violence are intertwined with no taboos, but the genre has become so familiar that it desperately needs new changes. There are many characters in the opening, but fortunately they are all familiar so as not to be confused.
