The biggest problem with David Lynch's Dune is not that its unsatisfactory visual effects make it a decent Dune adaptation. The reason is that the portrayal and restoration of most of the details in the book cannot reach a balance point. Although the use of less-used methods such as dialogue and thinking voice to advance the plot and explain the details can better restore the content of the book, it is superfluous in the eyes of the audience.
