"To Kill a Mockingbird" is a Good Movie
After reading the novel in the afternoon, I hurriedly found the movie and made up for it in the evening. It is indeed a good film, worth reading again and again. Black and white pictures can not resist their charm. The film restores most of the descriptions in the novel. It can make me clear and specific about many vague plots in the book, such as the tree hole in Ah Se, the pocket watch, knife, small statue, etc. in the tree hole, and it can also describe some doubtful but passing...

Robin's Suffering and Redemption
Every character perfectly presents the character they should have in the original work, Scott's simplicity and cuteness, Jim's bravery and his growth, Finch played by Parker, my God, each one's restoration is super high, As a film adaptation of a famous book, it is simply a success. Of course, it also omits some small details in the original book, but this does not affect its excellence. Personally, I think that although the whole film is narrated in Scott's tone, it is Jim who really...

Never judge others arbitrarily
01
"Robins only sing to us, they don't do anything bad, they don't eat fruits and vegetables in people's gardens, they don't make nests in corn barns, they just sing for us faithfully."
This is Atticus's evaluation of the robin. He cleverly compares the robin to a type of people represented by black Tom Robinson. They are kind-hearted and never do anything to hurt others.
He was a...

Racial Discrimination - America's Pain
I tried my best to reflect Southern life appropriately in the book, because it is not every day that someone is lynched by a mob before breakfast. I think southerners, like people everywhere else, are appalled by the injustices that are happening on their land. - Harper Lee
Based on the...

Great old movie with a little suspense. --The big man cannot fight against stubborn prejudice, but the most stubborn prejudice cannot fight against the tenderness in the hearts of those who are...

If you simply thought this was just a racist film, you were wrong. . The black discrimination in the film is just a springboard, aiming to lead us to a deeper discussion of moral humanity. The film uses the little girl's self-report to show us how the moral concept is gradually recognized in a child's heart. The little girl finally said "Like To Kill a Mockingbird" is the highlight of the whole...

Justice and justice cannot be erased, like killing a robin, it is a sin that should not be...
Older Scout: [narrating] Atticus had promised me he would wear me out if he ever heard of me fightin' any more. I was far too old and too big for such childish things, and the sooner I learned to hold in, the better off everybody would be. I soon forgot... Cecil Jacobs *made* me forget.
Scout: Atticus, do you defend niggers?
Atticus Finch: [startled] Don't say 'nigger,' Scout.
Scout: I didn't say it... Cecil Jacobs did; that's why I had to fight him.
Atticus Finch: [sternly] Scout, I don't want you fightin'!
Scout: I had to, Atticus, he...
Atticus Finch: I don't care what the reasons are: I forbid you to fight.
Atticus Finch: There are some things that you're not old enough to understand just yet. There's been some high talk around town to the effect that I shouldn't do much about defending this man.
Scout: If you shouldn't be defending him, then why are you doing it?
Atticus Finch: For a number of reasons. The main one is that if I didn't, I couldn't hold my head up in town. I couldn't even tell you or Jem not to do somethin' again.
[he puts his arm around her]
Atticus Finch: You're gonna hear some ugly talk about this in school. But I want you to promise me one thing: That you won't get into fights over it, no matter what they say to you.
