      Seems like an unfinished story

This is a typical Hollywood golden age movie. Charming male and female protagonists, and also excellent supporting roles. Concise, but often memorable lines. Beautiful soundtrack, (with African music elements), an interlude with a strong pop element. (My favorite is "Cricket" and Marie's first song in the bar, but it's too short to make sense.) A gripping plot, always a happy ending.
Let's talk about the interesting love scene between Harry and Marie shortly after the movie opens. (The...

Lauren Bacall's Fashion Style - Digression

The only reason for me to pay attention to this film and watch it is the heroine Bacall.
If it weren't for her graceful grace, an indescribable unique beauty that blends sensuality and indifference, I can't stand it anyway.

Hemingway's work has always been adapted by Hollywood quite lame, like the author himself, urinating in his beer.
So, even though this movie was made by Hawks, it still can't hide its mediocre and messy. It seems to be Casablanca's routine, but it doesn't...

      Quit worrying, kid.

"Quit worrying, kid. You'll get back all right." The length limit of the title is written here, the most handsome line of the male protagonist.

This film turned out to be made in 44 years, which is really horribly early. Humphrey Bogart is indeed too personable, both witty and brave, plus a little cynicism, idol level. I heard that he and the heroine went through this drama and did a fake drama and got married. I feel a little underpowered... (She sings especially badly!) I...

      Bogart's film career

Sunday, February 23, 2020. It is recommended to watch it, but I don't like the heroine. ---1, Humphrey Bogart didn't fool me by renaming the boat Queen of Africa, haha. 2. After Bogart couldn't drive the Queen, he joined the US Navy to drive the minesweeper USS Kane, but was mutinied by soldiers, haha. 3. It may also be that Bogart couldn't open a tavern in Casablanca, so he ran to the Caribbean to make a living by fishing boats. 4. Later, the old Bogart opened a detective agency and cracked...

Haha 19-year-old pork ribs girl, very cool and aura of little girl ~ not only Bogart, but even I fell in love with her! It's a pity that the film is so bland and not black enough. That pianist named Cricket is so...

The French loved Bogart, and Bogart was close to France. Malta is in southern Europe, Casablanca is in North Africa; the Queen cruises in East Africa, which is not far away; Hawkes' escape story takes place in Martinique, the North American and Caribbean region seems far away, but it is an overseas region of...

    Background creation

"To Have and Have Not" is the representative work of Betty Joan Perske, who first appeared on the screen with Humphrey Bogart, who was very popular at the time. Later, the two turned into a real husband and wife. The style of this film is similar to "North Africa Spy". The original novel is a weaker one of Hemingway's works, but after another famous novelist William Faulkner participated in the screenwriting, it was written by director...
