      Forgiveness

I don't know much about this movie.

The acting is good but some of the details are very revealing. For example, the "church" hidden deep in the jungle, the bamboo is so neatly woven, and the neat words on the sign are afraid that I can't see that it was printed by a machine. The truth makes me a little out of the way, a very low-level mistake. Religion and anti-war are the themes, but the power of forgiveness, forgive my stupidity, I still don't quite understand. I know that the...

      Bushido spirit

I happened to watch it on CCTV-6 movie channel last night. The translated film looks really unpleasant, but the Japanese original sound in the film is still there.

A group of prisoners of war are forced by Japanese soldiers to repair the railway, the plot is not interesting. Impressive scene:

        1. Colonel Yankee (POW) said to the Japanese soldiers: You are doing this in violation of the Geneva Convention, and prisoners of war also have human rights. It is extremely inhumane...

It's better to call it "Wings of Liberty"

Seriously, I think it's a relatively average movie that wastes its subject matter. The film is too lengthy, adds too many elements, and ends up introducing a Christian culture that is very different from the previously strong Bushido culture to express the theme of forgiveness in order to echo "End the War", making the film completely superficial. That's the downside of the movie.

But this movie actually has something to shine. There is a key word in the film: dignity. In order to...

      the power of the soul

It is said that many Western scientists have done an experiment to prove that the weight of the human soul is 21 grams. Whether it is noble or humble, sometimes the huge power it bursts out is beyond the reach of these 21 grams.

"Ultimate War" tells the story of a group of Allied soldiers who left their homes and participated in the anti-fascist war, striving for world peace. From another perspective, it describes the inhuman life that Allied prisoners of war lived in Japanese...

Compared with similar themes of the Bridge on the River Kwai and the railway workers, the film's strong religious and preaching, as well as a sense of moral superiority with a good sense of self, greatly reduce the impact of war and human nature that should be displayed and...

Forgiving the enemy only makes sense if you are stronger than the enemy; when you are just a prisoner of war tortured by the Japanese devils, your forgiveness is just an excuse for cowardice, even if you go to jungle university, it is just a means of...

    Movie quotes

    • Ernest Gordon: When you surrender in war, you're stripped of your dignity as a soldier. And all you've got left is your fellow comrades, many of whom you've just met.

    • Dr. Coates: [examining newly arrived POWs] Relish your health now, gentlemen: it's the last you'll see of it.

    • Primrose: [to new arrivals] Officers, try to keep your shirt *on*. It'll distinguish you from the grunts, which is about the *only* thing that's keeping us from degenerating into a bloody anarchy.
