Eight Views of American Society from "The Wire"

      1. It is not only McNulty who can investigate cases. As the saying goes, "The achievement of an informant determines the quality of a policeman". Gemma has a very smart informant-Bubbles (Babbles, see my avatar) . From the very beginning of the Barksdale case, Brabus used his "hat trick" to help the task force build an organizational network map of the Barksdale Group. 2. In the second episode, once DeAngela and Stringer were talking in a bar, Stringer asked Dee to be a little more aggressive...

      this is not war

In the first episode of The Wire, this sentence tells the purpose, "This is never a victory, because victory will end."

The first episode focuses on the Baltimore city police will form a team to start the investigation of the Barksdale drug cartel. The investigation is all about Detective Jimmy McNulty. In the trial of DeAngela Barksdale, key witnesses interim confession, allowing DeAngela to successfully exonerate. After the court, McNulty revealed to Judge Daniel Phelan that the...

EA Sports It's in the game..

The slogan of ea sports is so suitable for such a crime drama. This crime drama is so realistic that it seems that the detective dramas of gods, labs, and tough guys have become drama queens.
Compared to the itch of the Atlantic Empire, the song of ice and fire cosplay, the wire can be regarded as a masterpiece among the many gods of hbo. If you can appreciate the wire, I recommend watching kill generation again. If you like kill generation, you must go to see the wire.
      Finally, I...

      Ukiyo-e in Bacheng-Rawls

First of all, this is an Easter egg-like character and one of the most complicated characters in "The Wire". If he is not wrong, his position in the play is by no means as simple as it seems, just a supporting role with few scenes.

At least for me personally, Rawls is the only character in the whole "The Wire" that makes me feel unexpectedly curious, and it should be the only one, so that even if I stand outside the play, I am in the perspective of God. The audience also finds it...

      Ukiyo-e in Bacheng-D'angelo Barksdale

There are many classic lines in "The Wire". Almost every character who is slightly portrayed has a unique understanding of life, but if it comes to a sentence that can run through the whole play, it is not the one Omar said " The game is the game." It must be. This game that envelops the entire city gives everyone their due role based on their identity, and also sets the rules that each role must follow. Outside of the rules, there is an abyss.

Dee is the first person in the play to...

[A] Excellent American dramas must have their own unique "regional" presentation: the quagmire Louisiana in "True Detective", the Albuquerque stretches of Gobi in "Breaking Bad", and "Narcos" That magical Colombia. As for "The Wire", it represents the extreme of realism to a certain extent. The Baltimore under the lens is like a Ukiyo-e, and it unfolds slowly in the slow-heated plot. Going beyond the traditional "binary opposition", it focuses on the operation of law enforcement agencies, the...

Apart from the fact that the first season was so slow that it added some difficulty to Amway, the show was basically perfect. It represents the highest realm that can be achieved by observing, presenting, reflecting, interrogating and finally popularizing and commercializing the status quo of a certain...
