      really long

Bible Stories. 1. Under the rule of the Egyptians, the Greeks and Chinese made them slaves and worked day and night. When the pharaoh heard that a savior would come among the newborns of slaves, he ordered all the newborns to be killed. Moses' mother put him in a bamboo basket and floated along the river to the palace. Pharaoh's sister, who could not bear children, picked Moses up and made him her own son. 2. When Moses grew up, he was brave and good at fighting, helped the pharaoh to fight,...

Maybe no more movies like that

Probably only under the specific historical conditions at the time, such a soul-stirring epic film could be made. This grand scene, this meticulous scheduling, requires mature industrialization and a bit of dictatorship, which cannot be filmed in Hollywood today, nor can it be filmed in China today. I remember watching DreamWorks' "Prince of Egypt" (1998) with gusto, where the original main plot was adapted. Quite a solid dramatic conflict, with a strong flavor of classical drama:...

Plump, moving, full of philosophical thoughts

This is the richest, most moving, and philosophical story I've ever seen, both in text and film.

      1. The journey from enslaved Egypt to the good land of Canaan is an epic human journey.

      2. In this journey, the disagreement between Moses and the overseer is a cultural divide between the East and the West, and the overseer being allowed to embark on their journey also symbolizes the tolerance of dissidents in a civilization.

      3. Moses and Pharaoh. Moses' exile is another...

      Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:2-17: I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage (v. 2). The first commandment thou shalt have no other gods before me. (v. 3) The second commandment is that you shall not make idols for yourself, nor make any image like the things that are in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth and in the water. Do not bow down to those images, and do not serve them, for I, the LORD your God, are jealous God. I will punish those who hate...

Moses and the Ten Commandments, Faith and History.

Although there are many fantasy elements in such a movie (in fact, it can be said to be a legend), it is still a good movie for understanding the use of that civilization, that era, and that period of history. I have also watched a lot of epic movies, but this movie gave me an unparalleled visual shock. a realistic expression. You know, Hebrew civilization? You know, Moses this guy? You know, what did Moses do? You know, what are the Ten Commandments? You know, Jews are smart and good at...

"The only truth I know is that I love you" - I can't forget the deep love of the Egyptian princess for Moses; Moses said to the Egyptian Pharaoh, who was like his father, that I must be so (return to the Hebrew nation), and the Pharaoh also said, that I also had to do so (capture Moses); the Hebrews doubted God again and again, and Moses almost despaired: even though you have seen the truth of God ten times, you still have no...

Great momentum, all in one go. But the Israelites were really not worth saving. They performed a dozen great miracles and easily worshipped the Egyptian god who had bound them for 400 years... It seems that God did not care about them for 400 years for no reason at all. However, compared with the Bible, the changes are a bit big, especially the process of crossing the wilderness is very...

    Movie plot

Moses was born in the "white terror" period when the Egyptian pharaoh ordered the killing of Hebrew boys. His mother and sister put him in a basket and put him in the reeds near the Nile. Hope to escape the catastrophe. Pharaoh's daughter found Moses and raised him as her own son. When Moses grew up, he became more and more uncomfortable with the Egyptian enslavement of the Hebrews. Once he missed and killed an Egyptian overseer who...

    On the script

The name of any pharaoh is never mentioned in the Bible. However, the film sets Ramses II as the pharaoh that Moses must flee. The evidence supporting this statement is the statement in Exodus that the Hebrews built the city of Ramses and named it after the pharaoh. Some experts believe that the pharaoh in "Exodus" is Thutmose III, about one or two centuries earlier than Ramses II   .
The final filming script was written by...

    Evaluation action

Cecil B. DeMille is still a master of the screen, still skillfully recreating historical events from the perspective of human values. And merge the two into fascinating, exciting, and exciting on-screen entertainment. Although the production of "Moses The Ten Commandments" uses advanced technologies such as VistaVision, Technicolor, and high fidelity recording. But it still tells one of the greatest stories of all time without letting...

    Movie quotes

    • Nefretiri: I think I see him. No... Moses.

    • [Opening line and sentences as movie started]

Narrator: And God said Let there be light, and there was light. And from this light, God created life upon earth. And man was given diminion over all things upon this earth and the power to choose betweem good and evil. But each sought to do his own will because he knew not the light of God's law. Man took dominion over man, the conquered were made to serve the conqueror, the weak were made to serve the strong, and freedom was gone from this world. So did the Egyptians cause the children of Israel to serve with rigor, and their lives were made bitter with hard bondage. And their cry came up unto God. And God heard them and cast into Egypt, into the lowly hut of Amram and Yochabel, the seed of a man upon whose mind and heart would be written God's law and God's commandments, one man alone against an empire.

Moses: You gave me this staff to rule over scorpions and serpents, but God made it a rod to rule over kings. Hear His word, Rameses, and obey.

Rameses: Obey? Moses, Moses. Are there no magicians in Egypt, that you have come back to make serpents out of sticks or cause rabbits to appear?
