Haneke's films are always quiet in the front, and explosive in the back.

I always like to watch Haneke's films,
although I always watch it with the intention of watching super boring films,
but he can always be bloody in the second half of the film.

Many boring films are far more shocking
      than crime and action films.

"The Seventh Continent" tells the three-year life of a middle-class family from 1987 to 1989.
The male protagonist has been steadily promoted and increased in salary.
      The female protagonist lives a...

      "New---The Seventh Continent"

"The New --- The Seventh Continent"

is literary and artistic enough, exploratory enough, nervous enough, food and clothing enough, and leisurely enough to hurt!
Only after adding the time stamp, can we see some meaning!

After the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945, Austria was occupied by the Allied and Soviet forces until the Austrian State Treaty was signed in 1955.

      deny

Watching the explosion in the second half, a word suddenly popped up.
      deny.
All the destruction they did, I first understood, was to deny everything in the world. Deny your own past, deny your living state, deny material things, deny society.
The tone of the whole story, as everyone thought and said, is loneliness, estrangement, and depression. Spaces are always small and closed (like inside a car, a small room, a light cabinet, part of a bed). This is a metaphor, which roughly...

      The Seventh Continent

"The Seventh Continent" is the first work of director Michael Haneke's glacier trilogy (the remaining two are Benny's Video and 71 Fragments).

People seem to be free in the city, and if they want to go deeper, men need to earn money to support their families, women need to teach their husbands and calligraphy, and children need to listen to teaching and obedience. They should do their part and play the roles given by society. Zhang works, day after day, regardless of the...

After eating for a long time, the family finally couldn't stand the reproachful eyes of the audience and committed suicide. Some of Haneke's shooting habits have been maintained since his debut, such as staged sets, claustrophobic spaces, extremely A simple but dramatic story with a dramatic...

    Movie plot

The plot of The Seventh Continent is said to be based on true events.
The life of modern people is like this step by step, especially the middle class is the most typical. The protagonists of the story are the father, mother and daughter of a middle-class family. Their income is obviously not only enough to meet food and clothing, and the relationship between family members is also very harmonious, so on the surface, the family is very...

    • Anna Schober: Four days ago, at the beginning of the month, Georg started in his new position. It took him a lot to get there. You might remember that when he first started, his new boss didn't like him at all. But now he's made it. He brought new inspiration to the department. So when his boss fell ill with an intestinal problem and was off sick more than at work, Georg was asked to take over the department provisionally. His boss is retiring soon anyway. Georg's appointment as head of department is just a formality now. You have every reason to be proud of your son. Alexander is much better. He went on a cruise to Scandinavia which did him a world of good. He sends his regards. Georg's senior boss Dr. Breitenfels is coming for dinner tonight. This is our way of thanking him for his party two weeks ago where Georg's new position was unofficially confirmed. His boss is a real gourmet, so I'll have to cook something extra special. I'll try your stuffed duck recipe, Mother. Wish me luck.

    • Anna Schober: Have you gone mad?

Evi Schober: Have you gone mad? Why?

Anna Schober: Why? How come you say you're blind? Are you mad?

      Evi Schober: I didn't.

Anna Schober: You didn't? Your teacher made it up? Answer me.

Evi Schober: I never said that.

Anna Schober: Look at me. Come on, tell me, did you pretend to be blind? Come on, tell me. I just want to know the truth. Come on. Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. Is it true? Did you pretend to be blind?

      Evi Schober: Yes.

[Anna slaps Evi in the face]

    • Anna Schober: Did you like the Mickey your uncle Alex brought you? He loves you very much. You know that? Me too. Do you feel alone sometimes? Do you love dad and me?

      [Evi hugs her mother]

Anna Schober: Okay, time to say your prayers.
