Unexpectedly, horror films as far away as the 80s could gather such a complex commercial film elements (zombies, love, race, adventure, politics, thriller, heroism, etc.), enough to make many Hollywood blockbusters today.

The ambition of the script is quite big. The exotic voodoo/zombie theme is actually enough to attract attention. The director also embeds a political thriller plot...

20190323 Saturday at 14:38 The creepy body is dead and the soul is consciously sealed forever in the dark coffin. There is also a fat black spider crawling over your body. You are crying for help. It's terrible! This kind of witchcraft that death is not the end is frightening.

I have always been shocked and curious about the faith and life of the Haitian nation. It is completely unexpected to see the story of Haiti in this movie. The American heroism mixed with exotic cult culture has created a rare...

    • Marielle Duchamp: [Dr. Alan is about to be buried alive by Peytraud] Lucien will turn your black to warmth!

      Dargent Peytraud: Oh yeah?

[shoves her head in Dr. Alan's face]

Dargent Peytraud: Do you hear me Blanc? Her head will be taken as an offering tonight!

    • Dargent Peytraud: This country lives on the edge, Doctor Alan. One weakness in the wrong place and over it goes right back into slavery again, just like with the French. The United States would like anarchy here, I'm sure. Well this isn't Grenada, Doctor Alan! I'm here now! There are people like me who'll make sure that doesn't happen. You'll remember that.

    • Dargent Peytraud: Did you know this woman, Marielle Duchamp, is a radical? So was her father. He was... misplaced. Did you know that?

Dennis Alan: No, I didn't know that.

Dargent Peytraud: So is this man... Christophe Durand.

      Dennis Alan: Christophe who?

Dargent Peytraud: The man you met in the graveyard.

Dennis Alan: Graveyard? I don't know... what you're talking about.

Dargent Peytraud: You're not a very good liar... Doctor Alan.
