      [Reception] The Party

Watching this film after staying in the UK for two years, I have to say, it is authentic British humor.

In a humorous but ironic way, the comedy vividly interprets a tragedy.

I didn't feel sad because of people's death throughout the whole process, and even secretly inserted a few laughs, which is really a classic.

The scene in which the whole story takes place is so simple and lifelike.

      Living room, courtyard, bathroom, kitchen.

      Maybe when the scene is...

      A long and short review

(6.5) The last buried pit adds a bit of fun, but doesn't do much for the whole thing. When a more complex interpersonal network emerges, the stimulus is one-time, while the impact of normal interpersonal relationships being gradually broken after the dissipation of lies and the burst of emotion is lasting. A few years ago, Polanski's "The Killing" produced more brilliant results with fewer people and simpler events. That one highlighted the director's mastery, and this reflected play was...

      Very humorous and intelligent

      A feminist gay couple

A couple of scholars who talk a lot

A delirious businessman with drugs and guns

A couple of disjointed female politicians and scholars

      Every turn is fun

      The lines are especially wonderful

      Everytime a smile

      closed scene

      cramped humanity

      unexpected ending

It would be interesting if it was a drama

But the good thing about movies is black and white light and shadow

You can see the facial expressions of...

A laboratory drama full of musical rhythm

Sally Potter's films are always full of musical rhythm, and this one is no exception. Of course, it is not only the vinyl records that the male protagonist keeps playing in the film, but also the dialogue of the actors creates a wonderful and smooth rhythm. The director tried to incorporate a lot of discussions of current hot topics into the indoor drama, such as feminism, political views, religious beliefs, love relationships, etc. It happened that the film was filmed and released during...

A grotesque reception with just one glass of wine

A slightly grotesque but suspicious film, the director succeeded in attracting me to the plot, I was guessing what would happen in the next second throughout the whole scene, the characters in the film were selfish and loving. The lines are revealed step by step, and the unique black and white images make it easier for the senses to devote themselves to the plot rather than others. Human nature has its own characteristics. The beginning and the end are nonsensical, but they are revealed...

    Evaluation action

"The Party" follows a lot of farce routines. All those who participate in The Party hide an unspeakable dark secret, which eventually accumulates into a huge conflict and tears away the truth that cannot bear to look directly at it. Some of them are about to face desperate confession, some have exposed their extramarital affairs, some have pushed their friendship to the edge of crumbling collapse, and some of them are completely...
