The film is a fairly mundane tale of plain water, and doesn't delve too deeply into the first half of Betty Page's ( Gretchen Mol ) modeling career, even though Betty Page was synonymous with sexiness at the time.
However, there is a scene in the movie that was shot in a leopard-print swimsuit, and there are two beautiful jaguars next to it. So I looked up the history of wearing leopard print, which has to go back to ancient Egypt. After hunting, people will...

In New York in the 1950s, men were sex-crazy men. In bookstores and newsstands, what people care about is not economics and politics, but what kind of sexy and sultry pose the bikini beauty yesterday posed today.
And Bettie Page, who was famous in that era, definitely deserves to be written about, but in this movie, I don't seem to see anything.
There is no character characteristic of Bettie Page at all, and the film is completely the running account of her life. If this film...

The Notorious Bettie Page (2005)
This is a movie that has been downloaded for almost half a year movie, almost forgot about it. Watching this movie is mainly to see the dew point of the big beauty Gretchen Mol.
The film is a biopic about Bettie Page's career as a poster shooter. Bettie Page grew up in a devout Catholic...

In the evening, I watched the biopic "The Notorious Bettie Page" of Bettie Page, which may be the earliest S/M queen in the United States.
Bettie looks like countless ordinary rebellious women from orthodox Catholic families in the United States after the war, with beautiful appearance and a devilish figure, but her avant-garde and boldness are definitely outstanding in that era, and more importantly: her rebelliousness is not a pretentious gesture, not It's interesting to rebel for...

Should this Notorious be translated as "famous" or "notorious"?
In the conservative fifties, it should be the latter, which means notorious and notorious. And at the moment, it should be the former. Is there any self-proclaimed avant-garde cosmopolitan intellectual who doesn't know Bettie Page? Dare to mix in the circle?
Bettie Page, the most popular pinup girl in America in the 1950s. She has two images, one is the sweetheart of the United States, who is flamboyant and...

[Bettie reacts angrily when John sings a ribald song during a bondage photo shoot]
John Willie: What's the matter, Bettie?
[John pulls the gag from Bettie's mouth]
Bettie Page: It's your language, Mr. Willie.
John Willie: Oh, it's just an old army ditty to help keep our spirits up while fighting the beastly Hun. Do you approve?
Bettie Page: I believe in Jesus.
[for her photo shoot, Bettie is tied up wearing slinky lingerie]
John Willie: Do you mind if I ask you a question, Bettie? What do you think Jesus would think about what you're doing now?
Bettie Page: Well, Mr. Willie, I've thought about this quite a lot and I'm not really sure if I know anymore. I think God has given us some kind of talent and he wants us to use it. That's why he gives it to us.
Bettie Page: God gave me the talent to pose for pictures and it seems to make people happy. That can't be a bad thing, can it?
John Willie: Not to me it's not, but what does God think?
