The man in white, the man in black and the sword

Watching the movie recently - Joan of Arc, Milla Jovovich '99 From the beginning of the movie, I had questions in my heart.
The film begins with puzzling details and a generally understandable synopsis, with the boy in the chair (and later a man) appearing throughout; Joan of Arc can be understood as a child with a good heart, right? , and there is this seemingly divine paranoia inside. Later, she got a sword, and the fire of war could not wait to burn to her hometown. She saw the...

      What is deep in heart

It is another epic work that deconstructs human nature. War is ugly, because it shows the ugliness of human nature, but the idealistic little girl witnessed the ugliest scene of human nature when she was young, so in the eyes of the imaginative little girl. The cancer of hatred was planted in her. Relying on her aura and luck, she recaptured Orleans for France. However, the smooth journey was short. The girl was finally killed, and the people who used her before felt that she was useless....

Love only exists for a moment

Everyone needs to justify their actions, especially when they are in deep distress.
When we like someone or something, our mind will search for confirmation in reality, and then use these plausible confirmations to confirm our psychological expectations, constantly strengthening and expanding, and finally forming a psychological stereotype.
When you feel empty and unsteady, you must be doing something wrong. A man of faith is always at peace in his heart....

A Religious Interpretation of "Joan of Arc"

People who don't know about Catholicism and religious studies may not be able to see some religious hints in the film (in fact, it's not a hint, if you have studied religious studies or believe in Christ, you should be able to see it at a glance), so I I hereby interpret the religious-related expressions in this film.

Let's talk backwards, let's talk about Joan's death first. To see the death of Joan of Arc, we must first understand the death of God. Nietzsche's "death of God"...

      fortunately

I’m really glad that I wasn’t born in a kingdom that believes in God, otherwise I’d have to go crazy, or I wouldn’t have the will of my own.
Watching those people in the movie, in the name of God, are discussing whether their words, deeds, and thoughts are in line with God. Favorites, all kinds of fallacies and paradoxes…………My God, what the hell!
Sometimes I am really thankful for the Cultural Revolution, for overthrowing the Kongjiadian, overthrowing the statues of Buddhas and gods,...

After witnessing the power and miracles of religion, I am afraid that no one can say that religion is just a product of idealism. The director's way of expressing the power of religion in the film makes people feel that Joan of Arc is a mental patient, even if it is true, the spirit of Joan of Arc is also a national hero , the creation of the gods is incomplete and the gods are...

I don't want to discuss the metaphysical things such as historical religious concepts and so on contained in this film. What I want to say is that the heroine is a lunatic, a religious fanatic and hyperactive, without acting skills, and looks ugly. From the fifth element to I haven't made any progress at all. I really can't stand it. I haven't read it 5...

    Movie plot

In 1429, when the Anglo-French war was in full swing, Joan of Arc declared to the outside world that he had received God's instructions. Charles VII, the French prince at the time, received Joan of Arc under the encouragement of his mother-in-law, and at the same time handed over a large number of troops to the command of Joan of Arc. All of a sudden, the army led by Joan of Arc was invincible, and the prince was crowned as he wished....

    Evaluation action

Mysterious, pure, and heroic, no matter what words are used to describe it, it cannot be denied that Joan of Arc, as a peasant girl who has never gone to school, her life can be described as vigorous   . The story of Joan of Arc has been put on the screen more than once, and Luc Besson's Joan of Arc pointed out that the divine apocalypse is nothing but cruelty, selfishness and belligerence caused by childhood psychological trauma. In...

Title Card: 1420. Henry V, King of England, and Charles VI, King of France, sign the Treaty of Troyes. The treaty states that the kingdom of France will belong to England upon the king's death. But the two kings die a few months apart. Henry VI is the new king of England and of France, but he is only a few months old. Charles VII, the Dauphin of France, has no intention to abandon his kingdom to a child nor even to his tutor, the Duke of Bedford. A bloody war begins and the English, along with the Burgundians, invade France.

Title Card: La Loire, difficult river and natural frontier, temporarily holds back the invaders. Charles VII, the Dauphin, takes refuge in Chinon. He would like to go to Reims to be officially crowned king of France. But Reims in is the hands of the English.

Title Card: France is going through the darkest period of its history. Only one thing can save it. A miracle.

    • Charles VII: Hey, shouldn't you be learning your lessons?

Louis XI - 5 Years Old: I don't want to learn. I want to fight.

Charles VII: You will, you will. But for now you must at least learn to wipe your nose.

    • Joan of Arc: I did not come here to perform tricks. You're all much cleverer than I am. Me, I don't know A from B. But this much I do know. That while the people of France lie bleeding, you sit around in your fine clothes trying to deceive me, when you're only deceiving yourselves. You say you are men of God. Yet, you do not see His hand in having guided me through 500 leagues of enemy country to bring you His help. Is that not proof enough? Do you still need more signs?
