To be politically correct, one can be partial to one side's remarks?

Individuals are more interested in such topics. "Anti-Terrorism Suspicion" reflects the expansion and abuse of the power of the US counter-terrorism agency after 9/11, and the "Torture Report" reflects the use of torture (enhanced interrogation techniques) in the US anti-terrorism struggle. But after watching the film, my doubts increased, and I even began to consider the rationality and necessity of the Guantanamo prison.

      1. Is Slashi guilty?

      The Flower of Human Civilization-"Mauritanians"

Today we will talk about the movie "The Mauritanian".

The film title The Mauritanian / Guantanamo Diary / Prisoner 760 (2021), alias The...

      [★Supplements•Recollections★] "Prisoner No. 760"

The United States always likes to talk about human rights in the international arena. In fact, the human rights scandals exposed in the United States have been too numerous to mention. In the 21st century, there is the famous Guantanamo case. Guantanamo, with the investment of approximately US$900,000 per prisoner per year, is known as the "world's most...

Human rights are expensive, precious and expensive

A movie that was completely attracted to the starring cast. Regarding the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo prison, if it is linked to other movies, such as "Torture Report", this should be a project that the government has spent millions of dollars on. All prison guards’ actions are based on the premise of obtaining information. They are all recorded, which is also the basis for the final disclosure of the truth. So if you just indiscriminately scold the Americans and force a confession,...

Prisoner 760 | I'd rather kill by mistake

The one in the story was arrested by Lao Mei on the charge of "obstructing national security".

Here, there are no trials, no lawyers, and nothing.

What if I catch the wrong one?

The subject matter is very good, the angle is also good, and the performance is of a high standard, but the story is a bit broken, the rhythm is a bit off, and the narrative details are not quite...

I feel that the filming is still a bit simple, except that the real-life situation at the end of the film is more shocking and helpless, it is difficult to leave any deeper...

7 points. The story of a prisoner in Guantanamo after 9/11. His male protagonist was captured by the U.S. government without evidence, and is one of the tortured prisoners in the Guantanamo torture incident. Thanks to the tireless efforts of his defense lawyers, he remained behind bars for 14 years after the prosecution officer in his case dropped the prosecution for lack of evidence. Just watching the torture episodes in the movie is very irritating, but the male protagonist can survive...

    Movie quotes

    • Nancy Hollander: Well, when I defended someone charged with rape, nobody called me a rapist. When I defended someone charged with murder, nobody dug around my backyard. But when someone is accused of terrorism, people like you seem to think that that's different. It's not. When I stand by my client and I insist that he get a fair hearing, I'm not just defending him, I'm defending you and me. The constitution doesn't have an asterisk at the end that says : "Terms and conditions apply."

    • Nancy Hollander: You can't win a case if you don't believe your own shit.

    • Teri Duncan: Fuck... he fucking confessed.

      Nancy Hollander: To what?

Teri Duncan: To everything. To financing 911, to hijacking the planes, he fucking ordered spreadsheets, inner workings of Al Qu'aida. Why didn't he tell us that he confessed?

Nancy Hollander: That's not the first time in history that a client's lied to his lawyers.

Teri Duncan: Look at this, look at his one - he admits to acquiring explosives to blow up LAFs. The millennium plot?

      Nancy Hollander: What's your point?

Teri Duncan: He's guilty! He's fucking guilty!

Nancy Hollander: [shrugs] Maybe he is. He still has a right to counsel.

Teri Duncan: I'm not saying he doesn't, I'm saying that he helped to kill 3000 civilians and we're doing everything we can to get him out.

Nancy Hollander: We're doing our job.

Teri Duncan: I did bake sales for his legal fund! That's not a part of my job. My dad told me I'm not welcome home for thanksgiving, that's not a part of my job.

      Nancy Hollander: Get out.

      Teri Duncan: What?

Nancy Hollander: You want turkey and pumpkin pie with mom and dad and uncle Joe? Go on, get out. Go home. You can't win a case if you don't believe your own shit.

Teri Duncan: I'm not trying to...

Nancy Hollander: [interrups] Stop fucking wasting my time! Get out.
