      No monsters, still wonderful

"Monster" is a relatively new movie I've seen recently. After watching it, I feel the following:

First of all, this is not a Hollywood-style movie, although it has the shell of a Hollywood-style movie. Its soul is anti-Hollywood heroism. The protagonists are all useless, shrinking little people, and in the end they did not go through hardships and dangers to achieve a happy ending.

Second, its stunts are well done. Although there is still a gap compared with the United...

      A family's personal feud with a monster

Sure enough, the second brush movie will be different.

The first time I saw the monster of the Han River was during the summer vacation of junior high school. All that brought me was fear and warmth. Now, it's more of apathy and apathy.

Why didn't you tell the government? Don't tell the police? Don't tell human rights organizations? "Because no one believes me" Kyungsoo, who was put on a virus-infected post-it note, said I thought the Yankee who was questioning was a kind and...

I don't want to save the world I just want to save my children

Inexplicably, I woke up so early in the morning~

Last night, my girlfriend suddenly wanted to watch a movie, so she played for her. As a result, she only watched more than 20 minutes as usual, so I just woke up this morning and continued watching.

Monster movies are a genre, and the Hollywood model is usually: a
      behemoth suddenly appears, and
then the hero saves the beauty and saves the world
. Usually there are two supporting...

      What's at fault?

I have read such a small article:
A plague ambassador was ordered to a certain country, and his task was to claim 5,000 lives. When he returned to the city, he met another ambassador who passed him by. The other said: "You took fifty thousand lives, not five thousand, you know?" The plague ambassador replied: "Actually, I am wronged. Only 5,000 lives were really taken, and the rest were taken by fear."
Similarly, the Han River monster is far less terrifying than we thought. Some...

Monster Movie + Family Movie + Political Movie

In a situation where monster movies are basically monopolized by Hollywood, and Godzilla is a short-lived situation in Japan, it is not bad that South Korea can tinker with such a monster movie, and it deserves recognition and praise.
Moreover, South Korea can make use of its strengths and avoid weaknesses. While strengthening the special effects of traditional monster films, it has developed a unique way to carry out family rescues to earn the sympathy and support of the audience. In...

    Elite team

The special effects team that participated in the production of "Gwoemul" can be said to be a combination of special effects elites from all over the world. The American company The Orphanage, which has participated in " Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ", has supervised the overall special effects of "Gwoemul", and has produced """ series and " King Kong " special effects work at Weta Workshop in New Zealand, and the Oscar-winning...

    All-star combination

According to director Bong Joon ho, he was really shocked when he saw an unknown creature by the Han River 18 years ago. From that time on, he thought that if he became a director in the future, he must put this experience on the screen. Eighteen years later, Bong Joon ho finally realized this dream and put "Monster" on the screen.
At the same time, the cast of the film is also exceptionally strong. There are Daejong Award actor 송강호,...

    Evaluation action

"Gwoemul" describes the extremely terrifying Alien hidden in Han River, spreading viruses in addition to killing. Although he referred to the shooting methods of the classic sci-fi horror film " Alien " before shooting, Bong Joon-ho emphasized that he had no intention of comparing it with similar Hollywood thrillers. He said that "Gwoemul" has added many Korean cultural features and is very oriental. And the joining of Hollywood...

    Movie quotes

    • Park Nam-il: [Points his gun precariously at Gang-du, who is sitting on the other side of the room, sound asleep] Look at that... Isn't that amazing? In this situation?

Park Nam-Joo: Wake him up, there's no time.

Park Hie-bong: Let him sleep a minute. He needs to sleep every so often.

Park Nam-il: Should we leave him here? He's no help anyway.

Park Hie-bong: Kids, wait a minute. Sit down. In your view, is Gang-du really so pathetic?

      Park Nam-il: Yup.

      Park Nam-Joo: Yes.

Park Hie-bong: You wouldn't know it, but he was a really smart kid. For example, when he was two, he'd sit in front of the village store, and everyone walking by would ask him directions. That's how smart he looked. As you know, when he was young, I was out of my mind, hardly ever coming home, staying out all night. And this poor boy with no mother, he must have been so hungry. Going around, doing seo-ri all the time. Raising himself an organic farm. Whenever he got caught, he'd get beaten up. In this way, he lacked protein when he needed it most. So that's why, every now and then, he dozes off like a sick rooster. I think something up there...

      [He gestures to Gang-du's brain]

Park Hie-bong: ...must have gone wrong too.

[Nam-il starts as he nearly falls asleep]

Park Hie-bong: Have any of you heard it? The heartbreak of a parent who's lost a child... When a parent's heart breaks, the sound can travel for miles. So I really need to say this to you. Be as nice to Gang-du as you can. Don't scold him, okay?

    • US Doctor trying to operate Gang-Du: [speaking to his colleague in private] The late Sgt. Donald, the first one classified as a victim of the virus, was given an extensive autopsy and no virus was found. He died of shock during the operation. Also, no traces of the virus were found in any of the patients quarantined. Simply put, so far, there is no virus whatsoever.

Park Gang-Du: [in English] Huh? No virus?

      [in Korean]

Park Gang-Du: You mean there's no virus? Right? There's no virus!

    • Mr. Yoon: You are dimwits, right to the end. I'll see you in hell.
