The theme is illusory, the details are wonderful

I'm a fan who likes to discuss the so-called "movie theme" after watching a movie, but for this movie, it's the details and creativity that attract me more (because I can't find its theme [laughs]) , such as the sudden burst of suspects in the opening court scene (suddenly chanting "On a sunny day, we will meet eventually", threatening to taint the witness). For example, the Spanish guitar accompaniment that surrounds the entire film is "Rain as Rain". . .
         I actually liked how it...

      Subversive "self-mockery"

Rather than saying that this is a crime thriller, it is better to say that the power of crime thriller is eliminated by questioning and mocking the person's attitude towards life. The sarcasm lurks everywhere in a British-style cold humor, and the audience will be amused if they are not careful. When the film progresses and the end of the parties turns into a subversive "self-mockery" of the identity he insisted on during his lifetime, at this time, we can't laugh, because we seem to be...

Where did Braddock's vicissitudes and quiet eyes look.

It reminds me of "Leon", which is also a killer's feelings, but the killer's feelings in "The Hit" have room for the audience to imagine.

Braddock, the professional killer, rarely speaks, and is always standing there thinking, no one knows what he's thinking. Does he like Maggie? He kidnapped her; took her to the gas station; even though she resisted and struggled, he didn't shoot her; before dying, he winked at her and went to another world like a joke.

      Willie Parker is...

      you are so fake

In fact, the narrative of the film is very flat. Killer movies are shot without climax. I read the description of the thriller and so on, but this one is not too thrilling. I think it's more appropriate to classify it as a road movie. The shots are beautiful, and so is the soundtrack. The story is a little bland to read, but after reading it, it has an aftertaste. There are four characters in all: a cool old hitman (John Hurt) hired to find a whistleblower (Terence Stamp) in a case from...

The atmosphere and rhythm are a little weird. Unlike ordinary crime films, which seek causal reasons, more emphasis is placed on the relationship and tension within this improvised four-member group to highlight the so-called impermanence of life choices. If the killer was originally ordered to "work", but gradually out of control and out of...

    • Myron: You've got nothing to smile about mate, if you knew.

      Willie: If I knew?

      [to Braddock]

Willie: He thinks I don't know.

    • Willie: It'd kill him to thank me, wouldn't it?

      Myron: Haha!

      [Braddock glares at him]

      Myron: No lip, you.

    • Willie: I'll just get back in the car then?
