The Green Mile: It's a Miracle and a Relic

I always felt like a very cold-blooded person-or a very weak person. I get chills and goosebumps (really) when I see tear-prone episodes in movies or books. One of the episodes that made me cry was the episode in Oliver Twist (book) where the old thief Fagan was taken to the dock. I can't stop crying over that old thief. The Green Mile will cry too, but there will be no sense of despair. Stephen King ended John Coffy's pain with death-the pain of perceiving the world's pain. Dickens showed...

      Be a Good Man ANYWAY

The first time he was conquered by Paul was his attitude when he stood outside the prison door and waited for the arrival of death row prisoner John. There was no trace of disgust, disgust, or contempt. Instead, he gave the greatest respect and trust to a person's dignity, as if using The iron bars are not holding back the sinful souls. To me, this is a sign of a good person.

With the deepening of the plot, Paul's justice and humility, courteous, modest gentleman, at the same time...

may god have mercy on your soul

Jesus came to earth in various forms. He may be a beggar in ragged clothes, a young man covered in tattoos, or a big black man with five or three thick characters and ignorant characters. Don't judge people by their appearance, but look at their hearts. If you have a pair of perspective eyes, you will see the kindness in their hearts, and see that they bear all the pains of the world like Jesus did. They reward and punish good and evil and maintain justice. They light up the darkness as they...

Few movies make me feel understood, this is the first one

Have you ever encountered a situation where when you pay attention to an actor because of a certain movie, you will accidentally watch one after another, one after another, all of his movies. Brad Pitt, who fell in love with Mr. and Mrs. Smith last time, was about to watch the Burning Years, and the next one was Fight Club at random, and then there was another seven deadly sins, which made me almost aesthetically fatigued. This time, the attention is Sam, such a cute Billy the kid, and then 7...

After healing the warden's wife, she gave John a small pendant with St. Christopher inscribed on it. St Christopher is a giant. He once crossed the river carrying God on his back. Movie plot

In 1935, the Cold Mountain Prison in the southern United States was bleakly killed. There is a cell numbered E District. Because the floor is green, others call it "Green Lane", and the people living in it are all death row prisoners. At the other end of the cell is an electric chair for execution. Paul Eichcombe ( Tom Hanks ) is the director of the E district prison here. He is completely indifferent to the execution procedures of the...

The shooting process of Green Mile Miracle

When filming "The Green Mile," De Labont was still groping for ways to get along with the actors. Because he was involved in the planning of the film, the screenwriting and the actual shooting stages, he was very clear about what he wanted.
The name of John Coffey in the film originated from a lecturer who taught history at Emerson College in Boston. Stephen King liked his name so much that he used it in the novel.
    The height difference...

    Evaluation action

The film begins with Paul's recollection of the execution of death row prisoners and uses flashback to tell a story about the meaning of life. Against the backdrop of the Great Depression and prisons in the United States in the 1930s, "The Green Miracle" uniquely demonstrated the subtle relationship between jailers and death row inmates, with a black suspense atmosphere, special characters symbolizing different moral symbols, and...

    Movie quotes

    • Paul Edgecomb: Men under strain can snap; hurt themselves, hurt others. That's why our job is talking, not yelling. You'll do better to think of this place like an intensive care ward in a hospital.

Percy Wetmore: I think of it as a bucket of piss to drown rats in! That's all! Anybody doesn't like it can kiss my ass!

      [pause]

      Percy Wetmore: How's that sit?

[Brutal suddenly grabs Percy by the throat and pins him to the wall]

Percy Wetmore: Try it! You'll be on the bread lines before the week is out!

    • Brutus "Brutal" Howell: [a rehearsal execution] Arlen Bitterbuck, you have been condemned to die by a jury of your peers, sentence imposed by a judge in good standing in this state. Do you have anything to say before the sentence is carried out?

Toot-Toot: [gleefully] Yeah! I want a fried chicken dinner with gravy on the taters, I want to shit in your hat, and I got to have Mae West sit on my face, because I am one horny motherfucker!

    • Percy Wetmore: [while tapping Arlen's burned face after being electrocuted] Adios, Chief! Drop us a card from Hell, let us know if it's hot enough...

Brutus "Brutal" Howell: [Brutus grabs Percy's arm and pushes him away from Arlen's body] He's paid what he's owed; he's square with the house again, so keep your goddamn hands off him!
