Brief description of perception
Scenes, costumes, found that the 2013 version is basically a remake of the polished version. The performance of Daisy's character perfectly shows the characteristics of luxury, laziness, and utilitarianism, which must be a reference to Carey Mulligan. In 1974, the gorgeous green light without special effects, not the splendid, extravagant party scene in 2013, but just made the story the protagonist.
The mistress was figurative and complete in 1974, rather than the stereotypical "lover"...

Elegy of the Great Age: Gatsby and the Roaring Twenties
In the 1920s, shortly after the end of the First World War, the newly-born United States welcomed its own era for the first time with a strong victor attitude, and the technology, industry, business, art, education and culture were unprecedentedly prosperous. In this decade, the Republican Coolidge was elected president with the campaign slogan "Order and Prosperity" and was re-elected. Soon after taking office, he said that "the top priority for Americans is to do business"; this decade,...

Long night, why not have a free dream.
"You can't relive the old dream"
"Can't relive the old dream? Of course you can"
This is what the male protagonist persuaded him after he won the heroine's love.
"They're all hypocrites, and they're not as good as you when combined" is what the actor said before his death. I think the male lead should admire him, even love, love his charisma.
"He believes that a bright future is right in front of him"
is what his old friend from afar told...

The director's skill is enough, Mia Farrow is disappointing
Mia Farrow does a great job when it comes to having a daughter, and most of the time it's feigned, and I don't understand why the audience is so hard on Carey Mulligan. Especially the gray-green eyeshadow that Mia Farrow uses most of the time in this film, I really can't accept it and can't understand it. However, this version of Daisy's character is more amorous and cold and cruel. It is the feeling in the original book of a rich lady who has become a boring rich lady. "A rich girl won't marry...

The poor guy was stole his heart by the rich girl, and he dismissed it, like Gatsby, such as the repairman who was disliked by his wife, if Gatsby married Daisy, he would be like a repairman, and a rich lady would not marry a poor boy .
Daisy never needed me. When Gatsby said this, was it because he was finally able to give Daisy the guilt to feel happy, a sense of satisfaction in being needed? If you are willing to pay this kind of price, in the hands of the rich lady, it is only a...

A remake of a famous book but not as good as the new Leo. Redford is of course impeccable. But it is incomprehensible to fall in love with a woman like...

It's alright, the whole plot is restored, but I think the actors are too much. I don't know if it's because of the style of the year. Both Nick and Gatsby played well. write a short...

The photography and the set are really like Coppola. Nick and Jordan have even overshadowed the heartthrob. Redford is so good. Too bad Daisy is too bad. Tom also played a hillbilly. The most terrible thing is the rhythm and the The editing is so bad that sometimes it makes me feel like I can hear...

If the new version can't understand Daisy's temperament, then this one can help understand the heroine. Obviously the old version is much deeper than the new version. The portrayal of Gatsby also fits the adjective great. Bazluhmann is ruining the classics. . Nick is the Charlie in the...

This feels like an adaptation of a novel. Compared to the 2013 version, it seems a bit funny, but after all, the age is different, the technology, shooting techniques, etc. are different. The boss played especially...
Jordan Baker: [about Gatsby] He's an Oxford man.
Tom Buchanan: Like hell he is, he wears a goddamn pink suit!
Nick Carraway: There was music from my neighbor's house through those summer nights. In his enchanted gardens, men and girls came and went like moths, among the whispering and the champagne and the stars. I believe that few people were actually invited to these parties. They just went. They got into automobiles that bore them out to Long Island, and somehow they ended up at Gatsby's door. Come for the party with a simplicity of heart that was it's own ticket of admission.
Tom Buchanan: That dog's a bitch!
