Progress bars and clips don't tell the Pulitzer story well
From the perspective of film alone, 6 points; in view of the surging emotions involved, although not well vented/expressed by the film , 7 points.
I think the director wants to make Pulitzer an Oscar. The box office fiasco at least shows that the audience doesn't like this kind of editing. It's okay if you tell the story well. The problem is that the story is average. The progress bar is not enough.
Information on that painting: The...

Memorize.
The artistic conception is beautiful, except for Nicole, the acting skills of the main characters need to be improved, and the casting is average. Pippa should be as quirky as Alice, and even Mother Theo should have a bit of that temperament. Hobby's description in the book reminds me of Hagrid, generous, warm, not as thin as the actors here, and even wearing earrings (although Hobby is gay, wearing earrings is too labelled) . Boris's age...

The long-awaited Goldfinch movie finally watched
... very disappointed
The Las Vegas scene I was looking forward to was almost cut, alas, I really like that swimming pool scene
As soon as the movie came out, the casting of the male lead made me… unacceptable (or not just unacceptable) and when I read the book, I felt that Theo should be a bit like his father but with the delicacy of his mother, a bit gloomy and silent, and then a bit nerdy.
The same Pippa casting......

The Goldfinch (The Goldfinch, 2019)
1. For a movie like The Goldfinch (2019), where the plot line is out of line and confusing, it is best to put aside the symbolism and function of the painting and return to the theme: self-seeking. I would look at it this way: this is a story about the protagonist who desperately wants to get rid of the identity restrictions given by his original family and devote himself to another identity and life, leading to self-lost story. After his father left and his mother passed away, the male...

The Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for Donna Tarter's The Goldfinch is Controversial. The protagonist's encounters and inner world perceptions have the fantasy and drug-addicting psychedelics of literary youth floating in the air, mixed with Dickens' David Copperfield-style plot imitation, as well as crimes, detectives, suspense and other businesses. The stimulating element of the novel also played a borderline ball on the topic of the same sex. It can be said that this is a work with too many...

20_09. Also, not as bad as expected. Young Theo did a better job, but the second half of the scene where he retrieved the painting was a bit broken, seeing the protagonist say "It survives. To have kept it shut up in the dark all these years. A thing made of light." Very sad, his A lifetime is changed in that museum. Artwork is permanent and should be accessible to all (and people are...

Although the original book is quite long and boring, it still can't compare to this rubbish male...

I watched the movie directly without watching the original book. After watching the movie, I couldn't imagine what the novel was like... What exactly is this story trying to tell? The rhythm of the previous family drama was as loose as an old lady's trouser belt, suddenly drug addiction, suspense, and crime in the middle, and the ending was fast and suddenly a happy...

Inexplicably, the ending collapsed, and the part of Xunhua really didn't fit, and it turned into a big...

Youku deleted at least seven or eight minutes, and it was broken. What can I delete? Deleting the movie was even more of a failure. The second half of the theme only appeared. When the basic friend was reasoning, the most important interpretation of Dostoevsky's "Idiot" was gone. That was the question: good intentions or bad intentions may lead to irresistible results, it seems It is doomed, people are just arranged in that position. Even big stars and handsome rookies can't save this...

Theo's Mother: [her final words to Theo in the museum] Oh. Look. I like this one. The Dutch invented the microscope. They wanted it all as detailed as possible. Even the tiniest things mean something. Like that wilted leaf there. That's the painter sending you a secret message, telling you things don't last.
Theo's Mother: [now looking at the Goldfinch painting] Oh. This is the one I was talking about. This is the painting I love most.
Young Theo Decker: Hey, Tom.
Young Tom Cable: Hey. I heard and all.
Young Theo Decker: Yeah.
Young Tom Cable: Yeah, tough luck. That really bites.
[Andy looks on]
Young Theo Decker: The only reason we were at the museum was because my mom was bringing me in to see the principal. About the cigarettes.
Young Tom Cable: Yeah. My mom blew up over that shit, too. So, uh, I gotta go. Later.
[Tom is smoking in the boys bathroom when Theo enters]
Young Theo Decker: You told Beeman the cigarettes were mine. I was just standing next to you!
Young Tom Cable: Jesus.
[Theo grabs Tom and throws him to the ground]
Young Theo Decker: Get up!
[Tom gets up, scoffs at Theo, and walks out]
