      best trilogy

It seems that a trilogy is the best ending, and a fourth would be superfluous. The Godfather trilogy completes Michael's life, and the film ends with his hometown of Sicily. Michael to the end, or from the beginning of being a godfather, from the time his family was machine-gunned in the bedroom, his main concern was the safety of his family. The decision to shoot for the betrayal of the second brother is actually a unique rigidity as a young man. There is nothing to worry about, only safety...

      Great Movies and Ordinary Lives

Revisiting "The Godfather III", or "The Death of Mike Corleone" this time, the biggest shock is still its ending - the elderly second-generation godfather sat on a rattan chair in the courtyard of his hometown of Sicily, recalling his relationship with The scene where the three most important women in life dance and then leave this world.

I don't know how the second generation godfather feels at this time?

      From the...

This is life, can you go back in time?

This movie has a lot of stamina. After watching it, I have been immersed in it, and I immediately looked for the records and tidbits at that time. Some of the things the creators said deepened my understanding of the film. Director Coppola: "He was distressed, caught between the past and the future, so he said, 'It's too late, time has passed me. Mike's tragedy is actually America's own tragedy, and Mike is both of them. Tragedy. He was caught between good and evil, and the pain was...

Behind the glory is a loneliness

On that sunny afternoon in Sicily, Mike was sitting in the yard with a brown puppy sniffing by his chair, and at this moment he thought a lot, he thought of Apollonia wearing a pure white wedding dress in the sunshine Glittering down, he thought of young Kay telling him to love him forever, he thought of Mary dancing with him at the charity dinner to everyone's congratulations, and he thought of Santino, Fredo, father, and His Corleone family, when he was ordered in distress, spent his...

      curtain call in climax

The death of Victor' Corleone, the death of Mike' Corleone's first wife, the death of Fredo... I don't think it was as shocking as Mary's death. Mary's mother - Kay, a vicious woman; Mary's father - Mike, the head of a large family, and a loving father; Mary's favorite - Vincent, as irascible as his father The character is also as handsome as Mike when he was young; they are all desperate because of Mary's death... Three different faces that different loves show us. The

      last scene was...

The old Pacino looked pleasing to the eye. This sequel after nearly 20 years has a good succession in terms of plot and story. The later works can maintain such a good connection with such a long time span. It should be the sunrise and sunset series,...

20 years later. . The third part is indeed far from the first two. . Coppola also got her daughter Sophie in. . Although there are a lot of bad reviews, I personally think that Sophie is very suitable. . Finally, a perfect ending to...

Finally finished watching the trilogy on and off. Al Pacino is a real handsome guy. He looks so handsome when he gets old, and I can actually see a trace of Jensen Ackles on the face of Al Pacino in old age. There are a few expressions that are very special. The handsome guys I like are all carved from a...

At the beginning and end of the film, there is an obvious intention of learning to compare with the first two films, but it is too real, and there is no aftertaste of the first two films. Sofia Coppola's acting skills are really bad enough. It is the right choice to change career as a...

    Behind the scenes gags

Sofia Coppola (daughter of director Francis Ford Coppola), plays the daughter of Michael Corleone, rather than continuing to play his nephew in the first episode of The Godfather (1972). Winona Ryder originally played this role, but she declined because of fatigue.
Tom Hagen was included in the original script. Because he didn't negotiate his compensation with Paramount, Robert Duvery refused to perform. As a result, the role of BJ...

    Creative background

Sixteen years after "The Godfather Sequel" came out, director Francis Ford Coppola was forced to shoot the third episode of this gang movie classic due to economic factors. Although the overall score is not as good as the first two, it is still the Corleone family. History has made an epic ending. Michael, played by Al Pacino, is now in his old age. He wants to bleach his family business from the underworld and develop into large...

    Neutral evaluation

Although the story of the third-generation godfather Vincent is not fully revealed in the movie, in the first half of his life, he can already see a certain tragic premise-giving up his love for power; assassination is like a father in order to get rid of the threat. The uncle who raised him; hired a murderer, but killed his lover Mary by accident. This kind of potential fate writing itself can also make an intertextual comparison with...

    Movie quotes

    • Michael Corleone: What's wrong with being a lawyer?

Kay Corleone: Nothing, except he doesn't want it. He loves music he wants his life to be in music.

Michael Corleone: Well, music is great. I love music but he should finish what he started. Anthony.

Anthony Vito Corleone: I'm going my own way.

      Michael Corleone: Your own way.

      Anthony Vito Corleone: Uh-huh.

      Michael Corleone: Professional singer.

      Anthony Vito Corleone: That's right.

Michael Corleone: And what happens if you fail.

Anthony Vito Corleone: I won't fail.

Michael Corleone: Men always believe that. With a law degree you're taking on insurance. After that you can do anything you want. You can work for me.

Anthony Vito Corleone: I will never work for you. I have bad memories.

Michael Corleone: All families have bad memories.

Anthony Vito Corleone: I will always be your son, but I will never have anything to do with your business.

Michael Corleone: Anthony, finish the law degree.

      Anthony Vito Corleone: No.

Kay Corleone: That he got from you. That "no."

Michael Corleone: You could have helped me, Kay. You could have helped me to convince him.

Kay Corleone: Convince him of what?

Michael Corleone: He throws his life away. He throws greatness away!

Kay Corleone: This is greatness? You know, Michael, now that you're so respectable I think you're more dangerous than you ever were. In fact, I preferred you when you were just a common Mafia hood.

Michael Corleone: Alright, can we talk now? Common sense?

Kay Corleone: Alright. Tony knows you killed Fredo.

Michael Corleone: Why did you come here?

Kay Corleone: I came here to protect my son. I didn't come here to see you disguised by your church. I thought that was a shameful ceremony.

    • Michael Corleone: I spent my life protecting my son. I spent my life protecting my family!

Kay Corleone: Let's be reasonable here, Michael. I mean, that's your big thing, isn't it? Reason backed up by murder.

Michael Corleone: Oh, God, you hate me. You hate me.

Kay Corleone: No, I don't hate you, Michael. I dread you.

Michael Corleone: I did what I could, Kay, to protect all of you from the horrors of this world.

Kay Corleone: But you became my horror. The children still love you, though. Especially Mary.

Michael Corleone: Well, that's something. We can build on that. For their sake. Let's try.

Kay Corleone: Only if you let Tony go to live his own life. Away from you.

Michael Corleone: I'll let Tony go.

      Kay Corleone: Thank you.

    • Michael Corleone: [after learning of Zasa's assassination] Don't ever give an order like that again. Not while I'm alive.

Vincent Mancini: Uncle Mike, it had to be done. You were too sick to make a decision. I got the go ahead from Neri and Connie.

      Michael Corleone: Connie.

Vincent Mancini: It was the right thing to do.

Michael Corleone: It was not the right thing to do. I command this family, right or wrong. It was not what I wanted! Understand?

      Vincent Mancini: Yes.

      [Michael looks at Neri]

      Al Neri: Yes.

[Michael looks at Connie for a long time]

      Connie: Yes!

Michael Corleone: Vincent, help me to my bed. I want to talk to you alone.

Michael Corleone: [Vincent helps Michael into his bed] My brother, your father, he and I. Opposites. But I never doubted his love. He would do anything for me. But his temper. Clouded his judgement. I don't want to see the same thing happen to you.
