  • "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" is a love and fantasy film directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, featuring Gene Tierney, Rex Harrison, etc. It was released in Japan and the United States in 1947.
"The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" tells the story of a stubborn widow who insists on living independently with her young daughter after the death of her husband, and she has to move into a haunted house. This house actually had a ghost of the captain living in it. The captain was rumored to have committed suicide due to accidental suffocation. Unexpectedly, the widow is not only not afraid, but also becomes a best-selling novelist with the help of the captain's ghost. It's a pity that she later fell into the trap of the philandering writer and broke up with the captain. It was not until the moment when she died of old age that the two reunited.

      Another ghost story

I have to admit, I love that Rex Harrison

was made in 1947, when Rex was in his thirties, very young. There are no folds on the forehead or anything, and the dimples around the mouth have not been photographed. So deep.

This film is black and white, and Rex plays the captain, who is wearing a black suit from beginning to end. Obviously he needs to be a vulgar captain, but his innate nobility feels like an earl.

      Undead meta-narrative

She was startled at first, and then her eyes rolled down, revealing an indescribable smile. He stayed where he was, smelling the handkerchief. aromatic. There are too many...

The chick film from 70 years ago is cheerful, romantic and witty. In the end, the heroine is getting old, and the ghost captain finally appeared after half a lifetime. The old woman instantly changed into the appearance of a young woman. The two finally walked together under the power of love that has withstood the test of a lifetime. At that moment, you will feel that love is fake, but even a selfish and indifferent person like me would not dare to desecrate it in the face of true...
