      Hypocritical stone————“Dangerous Prison Fright”

Today is the second time I have watched this film, and I suddenly discovered that apart from the brilliant acting skills of Edward Norton and the old drama player Robert De Niro, this film is just a second-rate production. There are overly obvious hints everywhere and too much effort to explain the truth. Once the director's attempts to persecute you unlimitedly, he is almost one step away from hypocrisy.

This is a film that tries to explore religion, rebirth, and the heart, but it...

Don't dare to speak casually, because God may be watching

Another story about religion and belief, the director seems to have a lot to say and a lot of emotions to express. So when we watch this movie, we always have no idea what to say. Of course, I can't rule out the reason why I am stupid. The hypnotic index is quite high. Maybe such a profound theme is not suitable for such a gloomy style. After all, people need to watch the movie, and the constant fights between the eyelids really can't be particularly devoted.
I still like some of the...

      shackles

In this film, we don't seem to see any conflicts, everything is so straightforward. But the considerations about morality, society, family, religion, and even human nature in it are thought-provoking.
There is such a devil in everyone’s heart, some of which can be evaluated by our existing social legal mechanisms, but some, like cold violence, have always existed, and the harm is sometimes more terrifying than personal injury, and even A prison for a lifetime. Regarding the above two...

      Actually not bad

This film has a touch of European art film, but because it was filmed by Americans, there is more American religious consciousness. When many people see that it is related to religion, they think it is for preaching. Actually, I don't think so. The religious consciousness of Americans is stronger than that of Europe, but the intellectual class is relatively less religious. It is more like a middle-class film seeking inspiration.

When I watched the beginning of the movie, I felt that...

      It seems that you can't read other people's reviews. . . Worth a look. . .

First of all, there is basically no plot: the
wife got out of prison for her husband, and

the last fire in bed with the bail officer was set by the bail officer's wife, not a criminal.

That is to say, the plot did not develop further, the prisoner did not retaliate because of jealousy, and his wife continued to seduce men. The bail officer retired with honor.

Basically everything subverts Hollywood. So people who are used to seeing Hollywood say it's not...

    Behind the scenes gags

The filming of the film was temporarily suspended when a drunk woman came to make a noise on the set, and the guards quickly subdued the woman   .
The prison footage in the film was shot in a closed walled prison, the National Southern Prison in Michigan.
In order to participate in the film, Norton did a lot of homework before the performance. He spent several weeks talking to many people in prison to get....

    Evaluation action

The film discloses the shortcomings of the American judicial system and shows the living conditions of the bottom Americans. This is a somewhat marginalized film. It not only has to face the dark reality of society, but also takes into account the commercial elements of the film, in terms of style and business. Find a balance in it. The biggest attraction of the movie is the rivalry played by Robert De Niro and Edward Harrison Norton....

    Movie quotes

    • Stone: [about parole] Don't get me wrong, I want to be out. But I don't want to wrestle with the same shit if I'm out, and I don't want to keep this feeling if I'm in.

    • Stone: We're all God's co-workers.

Radio Interviewer: [talking calls] Next up here is Gerald, from south west Detroit. Welcome, Gerald.

Stone: I, I just wanna say, I got this book. They say that when you experience a spiritual truth, that it comes to you through sound. If you let this sound go through you, it changes you, you know? Puts you back into harmony. You know, it makes you like a tuning fork of God.

      Radio Interviewer: Okay...

Stone: Yeah. They say, they say, you can start with small things, like little vibrations. You know, sound of a bee, sound of a buzzing light, and then it grows.

Radio Interviewer: All right. That's interesting.

Stone: Well, they say that everything that happens to you is what was supposed to happen to you, for you to advance. But you gotta come back lots a times, cycle through many lives until you learn, so you can grow.

Radio Interviewer: Well, thanks for your input. Next time up here in the WDDL listener line is Kathy in Farmington...
