      before criticism

Cannibalism represents the essence of the expansion of Western civilization and the pre-moral nature of human beings. Eat or Die? tortures our moral bottom line. Cannibalism gives truth—murders others for strength, which is unjust, yet many flock to it, because, just as the last man general relishes the soup, the taste of strength is too tempting to resist. Criticizing eternity and practicing eternity are neither good nor bad. In fact, there is no evaluation standard at all, and even the...

      (July 5, 2010)

(July 5, 2010) I bought the original soundtrack of this movie in October 2005-Michael Nyman + Damon Albarn = obscure + weird. Now I watch the movie and listen to it. I am not disgusted because there are so many of this movie. The uniqueness of the music makes the music blend well with the film without highlighting its uniqueness.
First of all, this ogre (clan) + humanity film was actually produced by the female director Antonia Bird. It is the same as Katherine Biglow in "The Hurt Locker"....

The horror story of "Battlefield Devil" being left out in the cold

Unlike "bean sprout human travel" movies, they go straight and straight. Even if they sweep the floor, most of them are used to perseverely boast. The oblique black humorous stories are often used in the rumors of rumors and slaps. What is connotation. It's not calculating society, human nature, or politics, or calculating ignorance, moderation, or extremes, trying to avoid instinctual thinking, political correctness, and moral kidnapping. It is not to oppose but to oppose the...

The horror story of "Battlefield Devil" being left out in the cold

The movie "Battlefield Devil" shot in the United Kingdom and the United States in 1999 was really cool, and I was amazed by all kinds of things. Black humor, this is one of them. Although Westerners have countless gimmicks with metaphors, and any type can be used as a carrier, "Battlefield Devil" is still unique and gave me a very fresh and peculiar experience. With the help of the horror story of the "cannibals" in Mexican Indian legends, it produced a historical and humanistic...

Morality, the last line of defense for a coward?

"Ethics is the last line of defense for a coward."-"Battlefield Devil"

This is an extremely non-serious movie, but it is also an extremely serious movie.

The reason I say it is not serious is because it is accompanied by a kind of non-serious music where it should be serious, which makes it want to jump up and sing when it should be sad. And that it is extremely serious, because its core is...

The plot at the beginning was not bad, but it became more and more absurd from the middle. Even if he was shot by a gun, he didn't die or have any scars. Why did the murderer want to save him? The only reasonable explanation is that all this is fabricated by the male protagonist himself. He is the murderer. Unfortunately, there are witnesses to the appearance of the new chief. If this is denied, then I cannot accept the plot behind...

Black humor + political metaphor, a nonsensical film that seems to use horror as a gimmick, in fact, it is a metaphor for the bloody political expansion of the West and the moral bottom line of...

The border guard was caught in the trap of an ogre, and the army was almost wiped out; this guy even wanted to start a sect and recruit talents. From the plot point of view, it is not how strong the ogre is, but how stupid other people are. And the setting of being addicted and curing all diseases is bad enough, like a cult propaganda...

    Movie quotes

    • Ives: That was very... sneaky.

    • Colqhoun: I suppose I owe you gentlemen a story. We left in April. Six of us in all. Mr. MacCready and his wife, from Ireland. Mr. Janus, from Virginia, I believe... with his servant, Jones. Myself - I'm from Scotland. And our guide... a military man, coincidently. Colonel Ives. A detestable man... and a most disastrous guide. He professed to know a new, shorter route through the Nevada's.

      [scoffs]

Colqhoun: Quite a route that was. Longer than the known one... and impossible to travel. We worked... very, very hard. By the time of the first snowfall we were still a hundred miles from this place. That was November. Proceeding in the snow was futile. We took shelter in a cave; decided to wait until the storm had passed. But the storm did not pass. The trails soon became impassable... and we had run out of food. We ate the oxen... all the horses... even my own dog. And that lasted us about a month. After that we turned to out belts... shoes... any roots we could dig up but you know there's no real nourishment in those. We remained famished. The day that Jones died I was out collecting wood. He had expired from malnourishment. And when I returned, the others were cooking his legs for dinner. Would I have stopped it had I been there? I don't know. But I must say... when I stepped inside that cave... the smell of meat cooking... I thanked the Lord. I thanked the Lord. And then things got out of hand. I ate sparingly; others did not. The meat did not last us a week and we were soon hungry again only, this time our hunger was different. More... severe... savage. And Colonel Ives, particularly, could not be satisfied. Janus was the first to be killed. And then Mr. MacCready. That left Colonel Ives, MacCready's wife, and I alone and I knew in that company that my days were numbered. I'm ashamed to say that I acted in the most cowardly manner. It would have been nobler, I know to have stayed and protected Mrs. MacCready from Ives, but... I was weak. I fled. It was nothing less than pure providence that I arrived here.

    • Ives: Morality - the last bastion of a coward.
