When I first watched this movie, I was more aware of the hardships of maternal love, childhood fantasies, and the tranquility of small-town life in America. After watching it again, I realized that this movie was about child violence. However, when I watched it for the first time, I was more moved by the previous themes.
A few details of the movie:
1. The existence of the stepfather as a negative character seems to have never shown his face from beginning to end.
2. Tom...

I came to see Bobby as a young actor, and I always felt procrastinated for the long part before they started doing the speeder. But looking back, everything is depicting the emotions of the protagonist and his younger brother, emphasizing the oath between them over and over again. "The so-called truth, or history, exists only in the mind of the narrator, because it is only the way he remembers or commemorates. And I miss him in this way." He was deceived by the group of children, and when he...

just watch child stars perform
1 point for the plot, and 1 point for the talented performances of the two young actors.
When watching the movie, there is a burst of anger from time to time, yes it is anger. What kind of drama is this. The film wants to express condemnation of child abuse? But it doesn't seem to show much. I saw the older children pushing the younger children to death step by step. How much abuse does it take to want to leave your mother, brother? I didn't see how much damage he would cause to his mother...

Children and those with childhood shadows stay away from this film
When I saw the name "Broad Seas and Sky" on the Phoenix Film Station program list, I thought it was a Hong Kong movie starring Leslie Cheung in the late 1980s, but it turned out to be Elijah Wood (the protagonist of The Lord of the Rings Dwarf) and Joseph Mazzello ( another successful child star), a heart-wrenching childhood story.
In fact, the filming is quite blunt, and some places are not very logical. It’s okay if a genius brother can build a flying car, and it’s okay for a child...

Bobby flew out of the clutches of his stepfather Jack and became the pilot of his dreams and because of the exposure of Bobby's escape, Jack was also put in prison.
The ending is beautiful but too beautiful to be believed. For example: Is it really possible to fly successfully in one flight? Even if he succeeds, can he really get to the house of the gentleman who let them visit the yak for free? Even if he can find a use or not? How to take off after refueling? Even if all this is not a...

After reading it, I was amazed and groaned/And is it a relief ending that was popular in the early 90s? For example, Doomsday; or a fictional narrative, such as Barton...

The film is average, the story of childhood and domestic violence. Don't show it to children, that plane can't fly, it's just a need to beautify the...
Boy #1: Dad, he promised to let me play with it, now he says he didn't and he won't.
Older Mike: Did you promise?
[other son nods]
Older Mike: Well, you can't just say, "I promise," then forget about it. "I promise" are the most important words you'll ever say... well almost the most important words you'll ever say.
Bobby: He's coming back, Mike. It's not mom's fault, but he's coming back.
Older Mike: History is all in the mind of the teller. Truth is all in the telling.
