      Surprising directorial debut

Although it is still a small and fresh theme and pattern of American independence, the director's portrayal of the little people at the bottom is quite in place. The heroine's self-confidence and pride in pursuing her dreams, as well as her anger and loss in the face of the shattered ideals, are quite touching. This is not a romantic musical like "La La Land". The director chose rap music as the core. No doubt the expressiveness and musical appeal of the play are quite strong. This is...

No one can stop your light

You can't feel that kind of warm-blooded infection just by looking at the propaganda stills, but this is a film that makes people beat and shake their feet after watching it.

Fat girl Patty's rap talent was buried by her family and social environment, and she was also ridiculed by the sour people; a bel canto alcoholic mother, an Indian male best friend, an anti-theistic black prince... A group of little people who stumbled on the road of dream struggle, except for jokes and Feeling...

Even watching "Mandy" and these two crazy films, I can't stand it, I'm really old... Although both were made for rock and roll youths, this one is a bit crazy, the rhythm is good, the three All actresses are very involved, Cathy Moriarty is very memorable. Routines are routines, I don't...

    Evaluation action

The film is a draft music film that focuses on people more marginalized than "The Voice", mixing "8 Mile" street rap and "Little Miss Sunshine"-style "loser success". The film starts with an inspirational look and feel, and the next series of plots are almost predictable. However, the audio-visual language and story details are still well designed. Dreams are precious, but the road to dream is the most powerful place. In the face of...
