One night with the king, porn?
This film is about writing the story of the "Old Testament", and that's not what attracted me to watch it. First of all I have to admit that because of the ambiguous title, it looks like an erotic movie.
After watching "300 Warriors of Sparta", I am very interested in the Persian emperor Xerxes. I don't know if Xerxes in this film refers to the same person. Forgive my ignorance of history.
In fact, the plot is not as attractive as I imagined. This Persian...

The only gift I want is your heart
King Xerxes: (approaches her), is this how you came to meet the king? Wearing jewelry like this with me for the night?
Queen Esther: Yes, Your Majesty
King Xerxes: You think you're cheap? And I don't have to spend a fortune to buy you? Queen Esther: I've been told that you should come to the king with a gift, not expect something from the king. (She takes off her necklace)
Queen Esther: It's my only treasure, it's my past, it's my future, it's yours
King Xerxes:...

Self-righteous director and screenwriter
Would a woman who, in an anti-Semitic culture, mustered up her courage, defied a ban, and saved her fellow citizens, would pass out at every turn, like the early Disney princesses?
When the director dealt with Esther like this, didn't he think about it? Or do you think women are like this? I suspect that the director has prejudice against women, and it is deeper than many Christians. The Christians I know, the Esther they know, are not like this at all.
The main line of this film...

Originally a good name, Book of Esther was forced to be changed to the erotic "One Night with the King", which is still the original name in English. It seems that "Bible" can no longer attract too much box office.
Let's say a very boring discovery.
Why are black eunuchs different from our Chinese eunuchs? The figure is not at all feminine, and the voice is still thick. Even if the face is dark, I can't see whether there is a beard or not, but the Caucasian eunuch really has a...

A New Interpretation of Love in Religious Stories
The whole story is about love rather than religion. Esther, the woman who saved her own people by the king's love for her alone, has the religious undertones of the biblical story much lessened. However, due to commercial considerations, the plot of the film has been changed, at least to strengthen the rhythm changes. It must be said that the movie is indeed more attractive than the story in the original Bible. Esther's approach is very much like the heroine of a court drama....

An unsuccessful historical film. The male protagonist looks a little strange, always reminiscent of a pyramid. The plot of the last villain being shoveled is a bit...

Although the content may be a bit confusing~ In addition, I don’t know much about history and culture~ I deducted a lot of points for this movie~ As a nympho’s appearance association alone, such a theme with a beautiful heroine is not very sloppy. Lord~Enough is...

I don't understand a lot of places, it's too abrupt, what's wrong with seeing the stars? And why are the words jumping up and down so people don't...
Prince Memucan: [playing an ancient, lifesize version of chess] Now let me see... you over there.
Queen Esther: Why can not a truce be arranged?
King Xerxes: Truce? That devil, Memucan has beat me twice in a row.
Queen Esther: I fear losing you.
King Xerxes: I gave an oath
[rising to feet, with Esther]
King Xerxes: to my father.
Queen Esther: He's the one I fear losing you to. You must dream You'll be gone much in the coming months.
King Xerxes: Keep this for me.
[giving her the necklace]
Queen Esther: But it is yours.
King Xerxes: Than be at peace. I always return for what is mine.
[before kissing her]
Prince Memucan: Will thoust sit there all day, my lord!
[gesturing for him to play]
Haman, the Amelekite: Pieces are falling into place, ones we have spoken of. One by one.
Haman's Wife: [chidding] Soothsaying does not become you, Haman.
Haman, the Amelekite: Oh my darling, I speak of the truth, not of stars. My burden I would not wish on any man! But the blood of my forefather will be avenged! The god will smile down on our sons for our obedience.
Haman's Wife: Are you mad? 'This' is you plan?
Queen Esther: [in her prayers] Obedient I have been. I walk before you with a loyal heart and now I stand in the hour of trouble precisely because of my obedience. I beseech you father. Let there be another way. Rise up a deliverer and let this pass... let this pass.
