"Metropolis Legends": one outstanding, two popular.
Woody Allen once said bluntly: "People often avoid making value judgments, but I am just the opposite, because I think value judgments are very important and necessary." As a big fan of his, I am here to speak out. The value judgment of the three short films of...

Because of "Scorsese by Ebert", because of teaching, I revisited Scorsese's opening chapter in "New York Stories" (New York Stories), "Life Lessons" (Life Lessons). (Another reason is that E said a while ago that he kept watching the film over and over again...but then I didn't think of the reason...or was there really no special reason?)
What I want to say is that I watch Just stunned.
Roger Ibal pointed out that "Life Class" is the only one of the three short films in...

Just watched the first paragraph of Martin. It would have been better if the shot was a little tighter. It can be seen that Lao Ma still has a bit of a blind admiration for the artist in his heart. It feels like the look in Shen Xing's interview with Pu Shu. I don't understand, but make reverence.
The paint at the beginning was so appealing to me. Muddy, dirty, warm. Pretty much the same as my previous palette and sucked me into this one in one fell swoop. But when I paint, I don't...

The title of the film, "The New York Story" (Metropolis Legend), is intended to emphasize the strange and unusual things that happened in this magical and legendary city of New York, but in this city it seems unusually harmonious. "The Lesson of Life" tells the story of the entanglement between a famous painter and a young female painter who lives together. Based on the diary of Russian writer Tostoyevsky's lover describing their relationship....

The Metropolis Thirty Years Ago
Three films, interesting Woody Allen, Scorsese aftertaste, Coppola incomprehensible.
Scorsese's Life Lessons, boring at first glance, is actually the most aftertaste.
Lots of close-ups, slow motion, repetitive soundtrack, and it looks like a small piece. But it's basically a transition from near to far, and a complete reversal in far. There are a lot of hints in the lens, except that the taste of male...

Relatively speaking, it is still the most interesting of the old man. The main picture of the old horse is the most in line with love. It is still like a textbook, and at the same time has a little bit of fun, but the actor looks like... Coppola's is weaker, the theme It's not clear, it's not rigorous enough, it's not very...

[Life Lesson] Five points. Forget the other two. Meet Martin Scorsese...
Paulette: [to Lionel] Sometimes I feel like a human sacrifice!
Paulette: [Seeing a patrol car with two policemen in it] Kiss the driver on the mouth. Then we'll talk.
Lionel Dobie: [Disbelieving the request and laughing nervously] What?
Paulette: Come on, and show me how much you love me.
Lionel Dobie: [Shaken and laughing nervously. After a pause] What if I do? Huh?
Paulette: Then I'll know your love is true, and if you don't, your name is King Bullshit, and I pack.
Zoe: [to her mother about her Joan Crawford-styled dress] A woman shouldn't have bigger shoulders than a man.
