Never Let Me Go--Just to Live for Others
It's been a long time since I watched the so-called literary film. The beautiful British countryside scenery in the 1970s, the elegant and beautiful picture style, the soothing soundtrack, and the low-hearted inner voice of the heroine all came slowly, giving people a very quiet feeling. I feel that there is too much depression... When I watch it, I always unconsciously think of the movie "Escape from the Clone...

Never Let Me Go--No Way out but Keep Going
In the first few minutes of watching this movie—before Kathy entered the memory, Tommy was lying on the operating table with his head sideways and smiling, and when he looked at Kathy without any emotion, he felt that this movie must be a science and education movie. At the end of the day, people must think of something. Clones are also human, so it is wrong to make clones and so on, but I hate movies that tell the truth. Look...

"The problem is you've been told and not told. That's what I've seen while I've been here. You've been told but none of you really understand. So I've decided I'll talk to you in a way that you will understand. Do you know what happens to children when they grow up? No, you don't, because nobody knows. They might grow up to become actors, move to America. Or they might work in supermarkets. Or teach in schools. They might become sportsmen or bus conductors or racing car drivers. They might do...

This is a film that lacks sincerity to the audience.
This point of choosing a donor is quite philosophical and worth discussing. I thought I could watch a movie with a long aftertaste, but I spent two hours in a fog. First of all, it does not sufficiently describe such a world view that is far away from our real life, so that the audience wants to understand the moral rules and legal rules of the world in which Helson lives. It all depends on guesswork. If the audience does not understand this worldview, how can they empathize with their...

Cherish is necessary. Because it's too easy, too frustrating and too painful to lose than to gain
When I started watching the title "Don't Let Me Go", I noticed the word "love". Thought it was a tender love story
The first act of the film is marked with a preconceived notion that it is a love history film.
Yes, I don't know if I ignored it deliberately or I really ignored the word "science fiction" by mistake. So much so that at the end of the whole film, I didn't realize it was a sci-fi movie.
The tone of the whole piece is retro and gray, and the scene is dark and...

The music is beautiful, and the pictures are very British. I think the original work must be a good novel. I also guess that the original author set the time period as the past rather than the future, and did not intend to write this story as a novel that feels too "sci-fi". The young actors are all very good, but only Keira is the most comfortable in the adult version. Garfield's final shout makes me think that he is not just staying in the ground and showing off cuteness (not derogatory), and...

Title Card: The breakthrough in medical science came in 1952. Doctors could now cure the previously incurable. By 1967, life expectancy passed 100 years.
Nurse: [Kathy has just discovered Ruth at the same donation clinic] Is that someone you know?
Kathy: Yeah. Actually, we grew up together.
Nurse: Oh.
Kathy: How is she?
Nurse: ...Were you close?
Kathy: We haven't seen each other now for almost ten years.
Nurse: Well, Ruth isn't as strong as we would hope, at this stage.
Kathy: She's done two donations?
Nurse: She has.
Kathy: ...You think she'll complete on the third?
Nurse: I think she wants to complete. And, as you know, when they want to complete, they usually do.
Miss Emily: We didn't have the Gallery in order to look into your souls. We had the Gallery in order to see if you had souls at all.
