Mr. Brooks--An Elegant And Dark Demon

The film tells the story of Mr. Brooks (played by Kevin Costner), a handsome gentleman with a successful career who hides a dark and dark secret in his heart—a quirk that is addicted to murder and can't quit, which makes Mr. Brooks panic. story. At the end, it is designed to make Brooks fall into the fear of his daughter killing his father in his dream, which is intended to indicate the evil phagocytosis, like a dark parasite, which will eventually attack the host. The rhythm and performance...

Mr. Brooks: A very Worth Watching Movie

I accidentally downloaded the original English version without subtitles. It's a little hard to watch. Fortunately, the speed is not fast. The characters don't say much.

The first thing that comes to mind is this.
People are what they are in anonymity.

A film with a 7.8 rating last year. Admittedly worth a look.
I don't want to discuss how the film's portrayal of Brooks' psychology is in place here.
Just wanted to analyze the design of the characters in the...

Mr. Bu, the pony, the little cloth, the trinity

How should I put it, after watching the film, there is a very enjoyable feeling, which is probably similar to the feeling after killing people in the play (laughs).

When Marshall appeared, instinct told me it was another schizophrenic movie. But if, like me, you think it's another mediocre and refined work, you're wrong.

In fact, what the film highlights is not like "Boxing Club", which treats the two parties as two individuals. In the film, the two parties perfectly...

      kill your two me

      Mr. Brooks had a
dream that he walked into his daughter Jane's room and looked down at her sleeping face softly. Unprepared, Jane grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the throat. Suddenly, blood gurgled down his neck. Flowing down, he guarded it in vain, all inconceivable in his eyes,
Jane was panicked for a moment, and soon, her expression became cold, half pity half funny looking at her father who was struggling on the death line: spasm, Convulsed, then collapsed

      favorite

Today I finally watched the long-cherished "Mr. Brooks". The film that explores the duality of human nature and schizophrenia has always been my favorite. Just like "Shutter Island", "Fight Club" and "Beautiful Mind", they are all worth watching again and again. During dinner, I also discussed split personality with my father. He said that most of the patients he came into contact with had split personality. The movie described split personality too much. In fact, split personality is not that...

    Movie plot

Mr. Brooks ( played by Kevin Costner ) is a polyhedron with a dual personality. In the eyes of outsiders, he is a successful entrepreneur, mixed in the upper class, well-dressed in various social places, and is quite famous in the place; for the family, Brooks is also a responsible father and caring husband, standard Gu family good man. Everything looks so perfect. However, under all the gorgeous halo, it was the uneasy desire that...

At the end of the movie, it is designed to make Brooks fall into the fear of her daughter's father-killing in his dream, which is intended to indicate the devouring nature of evil, like a dark parasite, which will eventually eat back the host. The rhythm and performance of the film can almost be complimented with "elegance". Crime movies have an elegant taste, which shows the aesthetic significance of movie language to narrative....

    Movie quotes

    • [upon seeing that he was photographed murdering two people]

Mr. Earl Brooks: You see that, Marshall? That's why I didn't want to do the dance couple.

Marshall: Stop your fucking whining, Earl. You enjoyed doing that couple just as much as I did, and look at the bright side - he came to us. He didn't go to the cops. If he tries to shake us down, we kill him. Period. We make it fun, but we kill him! End of story.

    • [last lines]

Marshall: [voice-over] Why do you fight it so hard, Earl?

Mr. Earl Brooks: [whispering to himself] God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time and enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardships as the pathway to peace. Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is and not as I would have it, trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will, that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.

    • Detective Tracy Atwood: Jesse, you know what would make me feel really safe right now? If you got hit by a truck and died!
