Ceylon is the best in my heart
I gave it four stars when I first watched it, but it was changed to five stars when I watched it again. I was not a fan of literary films at first, but these big boring films in Ceylon gradually affected my taste.
I fell in love with this film from 12 minutes, when my father and son drove together for the first time to Poplar Forest. For some reason, this scene brings back all my fond memories of the summer shade of my hometown. I love the poplar tree because it gives me pleasant and...

There are some scenes in "Blue Sky in May", which made me feel very immersed, and I was influenced by the memories of watching the movie. The director did not intend to describe his own experience too much, and instead recorded the images of other people and things, and the sense of substitution disappeared. The loose narrative and beautiful composition in the film constitute a strong contrast. The author has a kind of paranoid detachment from life. To some extent, he is like Ricky, the...

Ceylon's second feature film, I feel that the director is trying something different from the first one.
I don't know if it's the difference between color and black and white, but the second part has a less formal sense. Also, did the director really like Laota's films when he was studying? He always felt that the video had a Soviet flavor. The character scheduling in the movie will also be the kind of long-shot style ~ the character looks into the distance, and the camera pans to the... -

"Blue Clouds in May"--Life Continues
After coming to Wuhan for more than four months, I did not make any new friends. I went to the coffee shop on Sunday and watched a movie alone. Just came across this movie.
The film set in the Turkish countryside should be a success, with beautiful shots. The photographer's lens skills should be good, very common environments and backgrounds flow naturally and slowly under his lens. I grew up in the countryside, and this film made me very kind and familiar, without the sense of incongruity... -

It doesn't break easily when you cook it.
Ali said: No. That would be cheating.
One day, when I came home from school, I was forced to do something I didn’t want to do and gave tomatoes to another family.
The tomato suddenly fell to the ground. He bent over to pick it up. Broken egg!
The dream was shattered, so there was a complaint, blaming "tomato" for
kicking the tomatoes, which was revenge and angry
that the watch he wanted could not be obtained. Without anyone...

#shimazhan# Every character is in pursuit of a simple sense of satisfaction. Someone wants to go to Istanbul, someone wants to make a movie. Some people want to guard their home, others just want a lighter that can play music. But seemingly simple wishes are always connected with trivial unwillingness and resentment. Even if you are truly happy, you may still want an extra watch that plays music. Between the psychological hunger involved in the displacement and the desire to talk, the flow of...

2019 SIFF 4. After watching the film, I realized that my parents are also Ceylon's parents, hahahaha, it really adds to the fun of deconstruction. At the end of the film, the tribute to Chekhov is too poignant. Ceylon is the perfect combination of Chekhov + Chief Jia (don't step on it, it's a matter of fact). What I love most is the handling of the youth who quit the factory.

#shimazhan# The rustling of the leaves blowing in the wind, the dozing old man, the leisurely sunshine, these iconic rural impressions in my heart are vividly expressed in this film. The sequence of the three people in the middle watching the movie is fascinating. Ceylon's films always make me feel that they can almost reach five stars, but I can't tell where the difference is. But the sunlight penetration in the last scene is really...

When an adult returns to his hometown, the first thing he faces is how to face his nostalgia. Ceylon's "Blue Clouds in May" is such a film that faces nostalgia. The scenery of the countryside, the feelings of the hometown, the loess and white clouds, the rolling wheat, everyone is worried about the immediate problem in different ways: the father is running back and forth for land ownership, the protagonist is thinking hard about completing a movie, but the nephew only cares about how to get...

I'm an intuitive moviegoer, but this Ceylon made me think about it for a while and found it extraordinary. To be a Ceylon dad who guards the trees, or learn to cheat for an egg, this question aroused my thinking. In the end, I still feel that I have already chosen to protect the trees, and it is unlikely that I will change careers in this...

Muzzafer's father: Do they shoot the movies with these, Muzaffer?
Muzaffer, the movie-maker: No dad, we use these for test shots.
-
Muzzafer's father: Hey, are you shooting a movie? Do you use these small cams to shoot movies?
Muzaffer, the movie-maker: No dad, with larger ones.
-
Muzzafer's father: Look at what people make! Are movies shot with these, Muzaffer?
Muzaffer, the movie-maker: Huh-huh. Yes.
