There is a "Lion" in Everyone's Heart
Saro (played by Dev Patel) and his sister, brother, and mother live a life of mutual dependence. Although they are poor and hard, the family supports each other, and their days are still warm and full of joy. Saro and his brother got separated at the train station. In the accident, Saro boarded a train bound for Calcutta, where Saro became a street boy and was eventually killed. Sent to an asylum.
Luckily, Saro was adopted by John (David Wenham) and Sue (Nicole Kidman) from Australia....By Kristy 2022-06-22 23:56:50
Lion: the Brilliance of Human Nature
The film is adapted from Saroo's autobiographical novel "The Long Way Home." It tells the story of a young boy, Saroo, who got lost on an outing with his brother and could not find his way home. After being taken in by a local shelter, he was taken in by an Australian couple. After 25 years, he found his Indian family again.
Because there is a real story behind the film, the plasticity is not high, and it took a long time to lay the groundwork. The hardship,...

Is it selfish to have children?
I watched it in my colleague's hotel, and I remember it was last year's Oscar's Best Foreign Language Film.
Recently, the impact of Ctrip Parent-Child Garden, Sanse Kindergarten, Jiang Ge case, and Daxing’s withdrawal made me a little breathless. I was pessimistic about the society, and I have been thinking about immigration in the future. The social injustice and unspeakable repression that emerged from the media seemed to push me to a dead end.
As someone like me who likes...

"Lion"丨Love is the lion in everyone's heart
The opening of the film uses a documentary approach to film life in India, from the dilapidated streets to the clutter of the market, to the Salo brothers who have to rely on stealing coal from the train in exchange for two bags of milk to support their family life....

The first film review, I don't want to write a very professional and exaggerated evaluation.
Indeed, when you watch it, you can concentrate on it. For ordinary audiences, it is a bit old-fashioned but attractive. The details, soundtrack, pictures, and the performances of the actors are really just right, but I think there are still some aspects that may be a little lacking?
The little boy's performance is really good, but it's okay to show human traffickers and pedophiles. It's more...

I was moved, but this movie is too much like the warm version of Google Earth's promotional...

63/100 I was ready for a liter of tears before watching, and the ending was really moving (thanks to the actors for their great performances). But compared to the part of the protagonist when he was young, the adult play can be said to be a disaster. The two main manifestations of the protagonist's search for his hometown and the inner contradiction are both scribbled and...

The male protagonist is very pretentious, and foreigners are very vulnerable, and I don't understand why he drives away his girlfriend. Niko's acting is...

Although there are sub-labels such as Oscar proposition composition and directorial debut, it still fills the screen with the commentary of "Accompanying Running". Neither light nor heavy, neither painful nor itchy, it is destined to not be a director's debut that will shock all four. What is rare is that it has uniquely chosen to do subtraction among many new directors who are addicted to dazzling skills. It is a pity that the jerky subtraction did not bring the emotional depth of the still...

Welcome to the TV Social Documentary Channel to watch Oscar, I won't lie to you, it's really "that"...
Lucy: [Saroo goes into the kitchen to get a beer. On the way back, he sees some Jalebis, a fried Indian desert, on the counter in a plate. A memory takes him back to his childhood with his older brother, Guddu. He smells it and takes a bite slowly as his girlfriend Lucy comes beside him] Saroo... You OK?
Bharat: [a male dinner guest comes into the kitchen also and places his hand on Saroo's back] Saroo?
Saroo Brierley: I'm not from Calcutta... I'm lost.
[discussing how to find Saroo's family]
Dinner Guests: What paper trail?
Saroo Brierley: My mum could not read or write.
Dinner Guests: What did she do?
Saroo Brierley: A labourer... she carried rocks.
Saroo Brierley: I'm sorry you couldn't have your own kids.
Sue Brierley: What are you saying?
Saroo Brierley: We... we... weren't blank pages, were we? Like your own would have been. You weren't just adopting us but our past as well. I feel like we're killing you.
Sue Brierley: I could have had kids.
Saroo Brierley: What?
Sue Brierley: We chose not to have kids. We wanted the two of you. That's what we wanted. We wanted the two of you in our lives. That's what we chose.
[pause]
Sue Brierley: That's one of the reasons I fell in love with your dad.
[pause]
Sue Brierley: Because we both felt as if... the world has enough people in it. Have a child, couldn't guarantee it will make anything better. But to take a child that's suffering like you boys were. Give you a chance in the world. That's something.
