      Aki's Aesthetics

I've never seen a movie more stable than Aki. Each frame is like a thick still life oil painting, its color is rich and full, flowing with sad nostalgic thoughts, as if quietly shrouded in the fog of history, glowing with the unique light of ancient oil paintings. The close-up of its characters is still meaningful, the tip of the nose, the corners of the mouth, the forehead, the brow bone, the eyes, the cheeks... all are real and accurate. Aki's description of the face is pictorial, framing it...

No matter what life is like, there are lights in the dust

Aki, the Finnish fat man, retired after Cannes last year. Although he is included in the 3-minute collection of 35 directors each in the new Cannes 60th anniversary drama, it does not mean that he will go against his words and make feature films in the future.

Like Liu Yun, the man without the past, the film is still so calm and concise, or in other words, his film is the real black and cold humor. His theme is always a dog-like life, but he has to continue. So half of the time I saw...

      Twilight

      Finnish movies.
Loved the name. Twilight. Beautiful feeling.

A man. Poor, unremarkable. A man who works as a night security guard.
No family, no friends, no girlfriend. Almost nothing.
But he said everything It's temporary. Work.
      House
      . Getting married.
Actually she was just a member of a thief gang. Approaching him for the code and keys to the mall.
He was drugged, arrested, framed, and went to jail. Always
silent. Never say who made him do...

      Twilight light symbolizing self-belief

The confusion about the hero's loneliness, lonely soul,

heavy and uneasy domestic and foreign dilemma in the play

      is really sad,

especially when the loneliness floats vaguely in the viewer's heart and

touches the depths of the heart and soul, the

inexplicable sadness can't help but oil. However live.

The film's allegory of human nature uses a rare forbearance but the tension is everywhere.

      The trance and uneasy temporality...

      third security guard

I don't like the feeling of loneliness, and if someone says loneliness is good and that feeling is noble, let him fuck him. Being alone is hard, worse than being sick. Archie Kaurismaki's movie, the first time I saw it, it felt--to be honest, it's a bit like a Soviet movie, but it's not as good as it, because he's not so lifelike, and those scenes don't seem to be common in life. , but a processed set, sculpted, which I don't like. Also, I don't like cold things, I don't like movies...

The male protagonist who is handsome but still weak, the dining car girl vs the femme fatale (looks like The 4th Man + "Skin Love"), the villain is very cheap and calls himself a businessman. The only smile of the protagonist: 55min smoking, chatting and basking in the sun with inmates in prison (but he will be released next time!). In the 49-minute villain splitting scene, the sound of heavy rock music overwhelmed the sound of the vacuum cleaner after the femme fatale became a maid in one...

It's still the familiar Aki's minimalist and cold narrative style, and the evil capitalism has forced the male protagonist into something! The hands clenched with the heroine at the end are full of positive...

#filmarchive# 11.23, this is probably the most handsome and melancholy security guard in the world, with blue eyes. I like the group of drunkards at the beginning murmured about Gogol, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and other writers, each great name sums up his absurd life in just one sentence. There is also the male protagonist's indifferent "what is your name" reply to his colleague when he was handed over: "Kostien, it has always...

The light of twilight can be a kind of "love", or it can be a kind of "love" waiting, the former is always so strong that people can't see the latter. The "Finland Trilogy" ends with the death of Bao Bao and also with the death of Love. / Finnish Masters...

    Movie plot

Costinan is a night security guard. Although he is young, he does not have the vigor of his peers. His loneliness is like a lingering net, closely entangled in Costinan's heart and life. He is often made fun of by people around him. The barren life and the desire for emotion made him unable to extricate himself. Once accidentally, Costinan met Mir Ya, an elegant blonde beauty. As long-depressed emotions exploded, Costinan regarded Mir...

    Evaluation action

"Laitakaupungin valot", like other films by director Aki Kaurismäki, is short but dense. More than 70 minutes of film length tells an uncomplicated but really strange story, portraying the life path of a lonely person full of hope and despair for the audience. As far as the story itself is concerned, apart from the director’s approach, the plot itself is not much different from ordinary Hollywood movies. If the director makes the film...

    • Shift Manager: And what was your name?

      Koistinen: Koistinen. Just like before.

    • Bank Manager: [Bank manager is reviewing Koistinen's application for a small-business loan] Tell me, Koistinen... Are you some kind of comedian?

      Koistinen: Why?

Bank Manager: Did you come to cheer us up? What are these papers? A trade school diploma... Did you think it will give you a loan of two hundred thousand - without any security, any guarantors?

Koistinen: I'll guarantee it myself, until the company gets going and...

Koistinen: [Interrupting him] Guarantees from trash like you are worthless.

Koistinen: But I've got an account here.

Bank Manager: I won't even take your application further. It's rejected. You're only wasting my time and yours. Go away.

    • Mirja: [Worried that Koistinen will squeal] He'll talk. He'll tell them about me.

Lindholm: Koistinen will never betray you. He's loyal as a dog, a sentimental fool. My genius lies in understanding that.
