Personal Understanding of "Lawrence of Arabia"

I didn't think about what to write, so I'll post what I wrote before, and I'll make it up when I have time: ( But I guess I don't have time. I watched this film admiringly. It can be said that the film has been very successful in shaping Lawrence and Ali. The depiction of the conflict of interests between the two countries behind Lara is also quite in place, but the most striking thing is the interaction and interweaving of the two roles of Lawrence and Ali. Although Lawrence served in the...

"Lawrence of Arabia" film review: almost became the 007 of the emperor

I lived in Toketo, Inner Mongolia for a few months, driving through the Loess Plateau every day,

Cross the Yellow River, walk to the edge of the Kubuqi Desert, and watch the sunset quietly.

The desert is like a lifeless sea, in my eyes it is lifeless.

But in the eyes of the British colonists, there was gold buried under the deserts of North Africa.

National liberation and imperialism are enemies

      We call for...

      Lawrence and Che Guevara

The character of Lawrence reminds me of Che Guevara, who also pursues perfection, is idealistic, takes risks, hopes to liberate the oppressed and establish a new country. The difference is that Lawrence is a humanitarian, while Che Guevara is ruthless and ruthless to the enemy, revolution, violence, bloodshed, sacrifice, and ultimately he himself gave his life for the revolution. And Lawrence is a bit like Chu Liuxiang, elegant violence, minimal violence to achieve the goal. But both...

      Sing for every failing

Lawrence of Arabia tells about the growth of a person and the obsession of a nation. Lawrence changed from an arrogant person to a humble and desperate person, from an ordinary person to pretentious and extraordinary, from a saint in white gauze. The gangster turns into an executioner with blood on his hands and a disillusioned mortal.

The parallel lines divided by blue and white have been placed at the junction of the sky and the earth since ancient times. Everyone abandoned by fate...

      Prejudice, Hypocrisy and Ugly

I remember watching this movie because when I watched Spielberg's biopic, Old Si said he would re-watch "Lawrence of Arabia" every year.

I think rather than a glorious epic of heroes, I'd rather believe that the three-and-a-half-hour movie is full of prejudice, hypocrisy, and ugliness. Lawrence said at the beginning that if the Arab nation is not united, it will never be able to achieve unity, but even at the end of the film, the Arabs do not have a concept of Arabia in their hearts....

First compliments on the 4K restoration, it works really well, like new. I finally finished watching this classic epic for the first time. The biggest difficulty in this kind of long-form masterpiece is to control the rhythm. David Lean has done a great job. Important scenes he did not spare at all, repeated renderings, and unimportant scenes were resolutely skipped. The lens composition and angle are very particular. Using a film to clarify this complex and tangled history, it also brings up...

Wow, brother, you are too dangling! ! ! The unloved Lawrence was ruthlessly abandoned after finding his belonging. It's really...

Politics is so annoying. Lawrence was dressed in white (actually the prince's clothes) and looked like a goddess, too charming, too dangerous, and unapproachable. Ali and Faisa are two characters that I like. That French statesman really looks like a statesman... The scenery is very beautiful. I will go to the desert to see it in the future, at least to the edge of the desert. The soundtrack is sometimes weird. The slaughter of the Turks is somewhat...

The impression of an epic biography is the surging sound and picture and the multi-faceted characters. Looking at it today, I find that David Lean really did not pile up emotions in any superfluous places. Such a wonderful character can be described and rendered in a targeted manner. is for the...

I really didn’t get used to it when I watched the first half. It’s hard to imagine the biography being made in a deified way. The European knight novels and Shakespeare-style lines have a strange sense of alienation from the Arabic background. As the field of vision gradually narrowed to Lawrence himself, the perception gradually exploded after the focus shifted from adventure to mental torture. From the time when Lawrence went back to save people, I saw only those who were rescued, those who...

    Movie plot

After the outbreak of the First World War, Germany's ally Turkey still ruled the Arabian Peninsula, and the various tribes in the region were in a state of fragmentation. The Hashemite family in Mecca launched a war for Arab independence, and the British military sent Lawrence, an army intelligence officer known as the "Arab Master", to carry out activities there.
On his way to Medina to meet the tribal leader Prince Faisal, Lawrence...

    Evaluation action

"Lawrence of Arabia" is a great thriller. The uniqueness of this film is that it successfully combines two incomparable places; it has both magnificent battle scenes and a wealth of historical figures. Research on Sentiment (Sina.com)   . It is very different from other war-themed movies. Although "Lawrence of Arabia" is set in the First World War, the plot completely jumped out of the main battlefield. The film does not have a...

    • Prince Feisal: There's nothing further here for a warrior. We drive bargains. Old men's work. Young men make wars, and the virtues of war are the virtues of young men. Courage and hope for the future. Then old men make the peace. And the vices of peace are the vices of old men. Mistrust and caution. It must be so.

    • T.E. Lawrence: Michael George Hartley, this is a nasty, dark little room.

      Hartley: That's right.

T.E. Lawrence: We are not happy in it.

Hartley: It's better than a nasty, dark little trench.

T.E. Lawrence: Then you're an ignoble fellow.

      Hartley: That's right.

William Potter: Ooh! It damn well 'urts!

      T.E. Lawrence: Certainly it hurts.

T.E. Lawrence: The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts.
