A wonderful movie.
The love between Harvey and Kate, two frustrated middle-aged people, is warm, and some old-fashioned plots can also be integrated into its story. But what surprised me the most should be the ups and downs of the plot, which metaphorically means that there is no way out of the mountains and rivers, and the effect of another village is coming.
I have always felt that Harvey is a somewhat selfish middle-aged man, whose obsession with music has cost him his family, and...

getting old in romantic love movies
I just finished watching this disc. The music throughout is very nice and the picture is clean. Two big-name stars have performed an old-fashioned love story belonging to middle-aged people. Warmth, the warmth that can only be obtained when two hearts that have been wounded for a long time are snuggled together.
It should be said that it is a good film. If it were changed ten years ago, I would have been confused by its melody and its content. Now, while watching the film, I am...

Ordinary but good life movie.
To say it is romantic, it feels so real. It is said that it is a bit sad and melancholy, but it is always carried with a smile, and heavy things are not revealed. For an embarrassing life, a good film is so well-adjusted.
Harvey, full marks.
Kate's mom, full marks...so much in so few shots.
Kate, I can't give a full score, just because she cooperated so well with this film, she didn't look good.
- well, it's not, you know, real life...

Two people who both failed in their lives met at a certain period of time, told each other about their annoyances, let go of their guard, opened their hearts, and a relationship grew slowly. Although there is no young people's passion for love in the whole play, the implicit feeling can give people more peace and aftertaste.
When we open our hearts and truly fall in love with a person, you will be very cordial and comfortable with him, as easy as getting along with close family...

Excellent acting, warm and touching
When I saw the poster of this film, I felt that I would not be disappointed.
Dustin Hoffman's superb acting skills are definitely the highlight in the film, followed by Emma Thompson in the opponent's play, who vividly interprets the reserved, conservative, gentle and innocent feelings of an older British leftover girl.
The music of the film is really good, and it sets off the warm atmosphere of the film very well.
Why don't we make such warm and touching films in...

For the first half hour, I cried frequently, and the lonely person was always so close. If it weren't for the two protagonists, the film would have been reduced to...

Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, the Oscar-winning queens, ensured the quality of their performances. Although they were not sparkling, they at least interacted tacitly. It's a pity that the middle and top performances can't hide the mediocre script, the characters other than the two are not full, some plots are even old-fashioned, and the emotional changes of the two protagonists are also a little abrupt. I even think that Harvey is close to Kate just to prove that he still has....

Sad reminders have no bottom line, no more...
Harvey Shine: [to waiter] Thank you.
[to Kate]
Harvey Shine: See? We're having together.
Kate Walker: No. We're having lunch next to each other.
Harvey Shine: Ah. By the way, Harvey - Harvey Shine.
Kate Walker: [shakes hand] Kate Walker. So, why aren't you at the wedding?
Harvey Shine: [notices vaccum] I knew there was something that was missing. I had to get back for work.
Kate Walker: What, for the job you just lost?
Harvey Shine: Yes, exactly.
Kate Walker: Did you enjoy it, the job?
Harvey Shine: Yes. No. Yes, originally.
Kate Walker: What was it?
Harvey Shine: I write jingles.
Kate Walker: Wow.
Harvey Shine: That's the normal response.
Kate Walker: [chuckles] Did you always want to write jingles, or was - was there something more?
[Harvey laughs]
Kate Walker: What?
Harvey Shine: No, no. I love it. You cut right through it. I like that.
Kate Walker: I'll take that as a compliment.
Harvey Shine: You should. I would have given anything to have been a jazz pianist.
Harvey Shine: I have to tell you that it is a relief to find someone who actually says what they're feeling and what they're thinking. Especially in a place that is supposed to be, you know, Britian. English, reserved.
Kate Walker: Oh, no, no. Haven't you heard? We're a nation changed. Ever since Diana died, we're all sort of flowing out of us like water. You guys showed us the way, actually. No more stiff upper lip for us.
Harvey Shine: And what is that, exactly?
Kate Walker: What?
Harvey Shine: Stiff upper lip.
Kate Walker: I'm not sure, it's kind of the whole clenched thing.
[makes face]
Harvey Shine: Clenched?
[makes face too]
Kate Walker: I think so, you know. See, you know, when you cry, your lips wobble and when you're being strong, they don't.
Harvey Shine: Like this.
[making face]
Kate Walker: No, that's sort of more like a bulldog. No, don't do that. You look like you've got no teeth at all.
Harvey Shine: It's my first attempt at a stiff upper lip. Who does...
Kate Walker: I don't really kn - I think it's sort of the tension in your jaw.
Harvey Shine: Who does that?
Kate Walker: Aristocrats.
Harvey Shine: The aristocrats?
Kate Walker: Posh people.
Kate Walker: [phone rings] Hang on. Sorry. Oh, sorry. I should get this.
Harvey Shine: Go ahead.
Kate Walker: Hello, Mum? Hello. Sorry. I've been busy. Yeah. No. I'm out, actually. Yes, yes with someone. No, with someone else. Yes, a man.
