      Legal invasion

At the beginning, there were not as many things as Lenovo. If there is no awareness of racial conflicts, you will really not understand Abel.
In retrospect, the contradiction was really deep, but I still didn't understand the affairs of Abel and his wife. It looks good, although I feel that there are many places where my mind is temporarily out of touch.
I felt very heavy when I watched it, but I was not shocked. There is an aftertaste.
      But considering the racial contradictions,...

I saw something irrelevant to the plot

This movie is currently the only movie that makes me feel very emotional and calm after watching it.

When watching other movies that make me feel very touched, I always unconsciously blend in, imagine what I would do if I were a character in the play, what I should do, imagine what I would do if I encountered those things, and what should I do deal with. I always watch movies subjectively. Although I understand all the things it reflects objectively, I always ignore them.

      I...

      Middle-aged and elderly crisis?

Suspenseful and frightening movie. The veteran movie star Samuel Jackson plays a single father who is in a midlife crisis. He can't handle a good relationship with anyone, including his police colleagues, suspects, neighbors, and even his pair of children. At this time, a couple, the man is white and the woman is black, become his neighbors. As a result, Jackson had a new target for harassment. The emotional imbalance + the psychological abnormality eventually led him to draw his gun against...

      Complexion curse

Race disputes have long passed. In this peaceful era, everything seems to be normal. Democracy and freedom seem to fill the entire United States, and people seem to live and work in peace. But in fact, the curse of discrimination has not been completely solved. Some people are still full of ethnic cleanliness in their hearts. Some of this cleanliness is natural, and some are left over from history.
There are many feature films that reflect white discrimination against black people in...

"Legal Invasion" appears to be a little naive for the black police officer Abel

The racial discrimination of the black police is intensified because of the marriage of neighbors, whites and blacks. From the initial disagreement, to harassment and finding someone to smash Lisa's house, to finally shooting at the couple. His thinking became more and more extreme. All the fuse was that his black wife had a mess with the white man. In the end, there was a car accident. During the first aid, no one told the doctor that it was the wife of the policeman, which caused the...

    Movie plot

White company employee Chris Mattson ( Patrick Wilson ) and black female writer Lisa ( Kerry Washington ) established a love beyond race. After marriage, they moved to the peaceful and peaceful "lake view dam", enjoying the sweet Happy life. But their joy did not last long. The neighbor of the Mattsons, Abel Turner ( Samuel L. Jackson ), is a black police officer who works for the Los Angeles Police Department. The author thinks of...

    Evaluation action

"Lakeview Terrace" was able to win surprisingly with a small blog, not only due to the relatively loose competitive environment during its release schedule, but also the excellent quality of the film itself. The film is playing the card of racism, telling a "black and white match" couple fighting a fierce battle with police officers for their rights. The film takes a new perspective on racism, showing the audience that the estrangement...

    Movie quotes

    • Chris Mattson: Did you see anybody?

Abel Turner: No. I just see you.

    • Harold Perreau: The way it seems to me, the man never made an actual threat against your life or property. So it's his word against yours. And he has, let's say, the color issue on his side. And that color happens to be blue.

    • Abel Turner: Let me take you on patrol with me, show you the neighborhood.

      Chris Mattson: OK.

[He and Abel begin walking around the neighborhood as Lisa smiles and laughs from her house window]

Chris Mattson: Sure the neighbors appreciate this.

Abel Turner: Well, not everybody up here's somebody you wanna live next to.

      Chris Mattson: Like who?

Abel Turner: [walking by a house] This guy here, for instance. Sakorsky, Sakwasky, whatever. Beats on his wife. I told her to come straight to me, but, you know, she didn't have to live that way.

      Chris Mattson: Did she...?

Abel Turner: Well, other people's relationships. You think somebody shouldn't be with somebody, but you can't say that to their face, now can you?

      Chris Mattson: Yup.

Abel Turner: [walking by another house] Over here, now. Got some dealing going on, I think, you know? Pills, weed, maybe a little coke, meth. A lot of coming and going. Interesting thing is... guy's got a different car in the driveway every week.

Chris Mattson: Maybe he's a car dealer.

Abel Turner: [after a brief pause] So, what'd they tell you about the hillside?

      Chris Mattson: Behind the house?

      Abel Turner: Hmm.

Chris Mattson: Said there was a slide 10 years ago, county reinforced it, and, uh... now they're clearing it out for condos or whatever.

Abel Turner: Yeah. Hope they knew what they were doing.

Chris Mattson: Look, Abel, we're here. OK? And we're counting on being here a few years. We re-really want this to be our home.

      [he and Abel stop walking]

      Abel Turner: Raise your family?

      Chris Mattson: Yeah, eventually.

Abel Turner: Don't wanna rush it, though, right?

Chris Mattson: Whenever we decide, that's our choice.

Abel Turner: You and your wife?

Chris Mattson: Who else's would it be?

Abel Turner: [chuckles] Ah! It's a brave new world.

      Chris Mattson: How's that?

Abel Turner: You know, I got nothing against you, or her. LAPD, I work with all kinds. I'd lay my life down for those guys.

      Chris Mattson: All kinds?

Abel Turner: But, that's where I work. This is where I live. I'm trying to raise these kids by myself. Teach them to respect themselves and the people they come from, so, I don't need you or your lady putting your bedroom scenes out here for them to see. I don't think they're ever gonna forget that little synchronized swimming exhibition. Me, either.

Chris Mattson: Look, Abel, I'm sorry. I...

Abel Turner: Maybe there's places where that's OK, and maybe that's where you ought to live.

[Chris stares aghast as Abel walks away]
